[3.16] Enki's Archmage Hierophant - a beginner-friendly Lightning Caster

You aren't supposed to play Arc anymore, the build recommends Orb of Storms, it's better at clearing, just drop it and use LB to help while it's on the ground.

I'm with you that the build isn't tanky enough, but I'm still running T15-T16s right now, so it's doable just tougher than exepcted.

I truly recommend putting in Greater Multiple Projectiles when mapping and changing to Slower Projectiles when bossing, on your LB setup. Yes it's annoying to change gems, but it's night & day the difference it makes.

Also, the 6L is a huge damage boost, I've been having a much easier time ever since. Also replaced the Diamond Flask with a Silver Flask since I didn't have a source of Onslaught, and the Cast Speed is much appreciated to kite back/get out of dangerous situations, died too many times stuck in place casting LB.

I was able to have 100% uptime on Elemental Overload without it, but that might be thanks to the Thunderstruck from the Cluster Jewel so be careful.

Earlier this League I even played a version where I had my Arcane Cloak setup on my Chest 5L and some other random things to help instead on my 4L. I prefer the Orb of Storms setup now, but it's an option if you want/have enough damage with LB.

Another thing that can help is using Skyforth Boots and taking Soul of the Solaris/Lunaris to get some additional damage reduction, especially upgraded. Only do that after you have enough Mana Regen and can be comfortable with The Agnostic.

Overall, there are a few upgrades you can make overtime that'll help a lot with the build feeling strong enough for mapping, but you'll still die randomly, especially when running buffed up T15/T16s or some League mechanics like Expeditions, Harvest, Delirium...etc

So yeah, up to you, the truth is that you need to put quite a bit of currency in the build before it feels good enough imo, I'm at 15ex~ and it's doing okay.

Holy crap as soon as i switched the build to orb of storms and went straight with bol it feels sooooooo much better
This build is squishy and lacks enough damage. I barely completed the Shaper's guardians and the Elder's guardians. I tried doing Sirus Awakening Level 8 three times now but this build just does not do enough damage. I give up. I am going to play some of my other builds now and keep an eye out for any major updates by Enki or anyone else that improves this build DRAMATICALLY. Sorry to hear that .. i saw enki does sirus deathless today in SSF league while surviving atleast 5 one shots which was pretty funny he was doing it live so i dont believe its the build ..
whats your use for your current helmet ? your gloves got 18 to maximum life on it ? and no mana ... you are missing so much idk where to begin with
you have spent so much on big items like unnatural instinct while missing useful small items... i mean your watcher eye dont even got 10% damage taken from mana before life ...

The way i see it ppl die to shock and chill effects these days try to improve those stats even with 100% reduced shock effect you will get shocked by 50% after passing the first shocked ground and entering the second shocked ground or avoiding the first shock applied by the monsters second one will shock you for 50%... try to get exposure on hit for cluster jewel and curse on hit on ring or gloves (corrupted) .. also missing helmet enchant
I recommend reading his guide and double check everything you missed it might help you out
I mean my man you are not even immune to curse of silence its just basics ... how you even do maps is beyond me ..
i also see a lot of wasted talent points and missed mana nodes
Do the basics first then after the improvements we can take a look again and let you know what is the problem afterwards

Hi Everyone! This build has been my most successful build in PoE so far and This league has been my "Richest" League ever. Maybe that says more about me than the build but either way.

I'm currently level 86 and I'm now starting to struggle.

I constantly die, feel very lackluster in damage. (Once all gems do get to level 20 and I 20% Quality them some damage is going to increase and once I get a 6L Pledge of hands damage is going up as well)

I've tried the "Shotgun Ball Lightning" setup instead of the Orb of Storm but I might just try the Orb of Storm as well. (I've just gotten used to having it on the sigil)

I don't know what I can do to improve the survivability of the build though. I must be doing something wrong.

As it currently stands, I love the build and what it has brought me in terms of knowledge and playtime. But I also feel that if I can't make this build work for "Some" endgame (because I've never played endgame)

I'd appreciate any and all feedback and tips on what I could improve to perhaps not die as often (basically something making up for User error if possible)

i was in your shoes a couple of days ago, i got past the barrier with a watchers eye, specifically the "additional damage taken by mana while affected by clarity" is what you want. caveat that I had 9k mana, over 2k> mana regen and about 3.3k life. once I socketed it in it was smooth sailing again.
