Righteous Fire
" In the current build, yes. However, this is a bug, so I would advise against building a character using it :) Last edited by Vipermagi on Feb 5, 2013, 6:26:11 PM

I'd love it if you could deactivate it, juggle the damage to boost your own spell power.

Thinking of doing some Righteous Fire build, with a lot of hp instead of low hp and shield. there are a couple of items that give huge life regen on low life and i was wondering how Blood Magic Auras will work with this. If i reserve, say, 60% of my hp, does the Righteous fire still do the damage based upon my full life? And will a item that has life regen low-life activation, still activate on, say 30% of total life or on 30% of that 40% (12% of total life) thats left.

people have done that before although simply using rf will put you down to the "low life" state anyways (and bounce).
low life is below 35% of hp (think also including 35%?).
" ok but the excess 65% of hp, could it be used for auras with blood magic without altering any effects? i'm also concerned about the immense amount of +% life i must put in passive skills to have a reasonable amount of life left at 35%. gonna do this on hc so it might just be very risky. Havn't figured out what else to do with the build but obviously something that benefits from RF's More spell dmg. edit: this has probably already been discussed but with maxed fire res 89% you would need 11% or more % of life reg to be able to stay at 100% hp with it activated, which i assume is not possible at the moment in the game (7,4 max from passives, unless youre low hp and can stack normal hp reg stat). Man, i really wanted to use this skill for massive AoE burn but i guess it's more a skill used for the More dmg and to be combined with Pain Attunement. I honestly haven't heard of anyone using it for the Spell Damage, lol.
You can cover the last bit of Regen with either a Ruby Flask (10% Max Fire Resist) or a Flask. Springleaf's 6% Regen on Low Life is also cool, but you won't have Saffel's Frame for obvious reasons. Righteous Fire deals pretty great damage, and it's a whole lotta fun. Personally shooting for this. RF's damage is based on your Maximum Life (as is %Regen). Reservation does not change your Maximum Life. :)
" Yes Springleaf's would be the only choice to stop it from going to 1 hp, i was just contemplating about if it would possible to aquire enough life reg without it and to use Saffel's Frame to max fire res and regen to full life. Not interested in flasks though, thats a temporary solution, i want to burn constantly :). Forgot about vitality aura, that adds it up to 8,9 % of life reg, still not enough. Yes that would probably be a working build, the problem is just how much hp is left at 35%, seems very risky. Thanks for answering the question about reserved life though. Is there anyone here who plays a HC character thats essentially locked on 35% hp with the Springleaf and RF combination? |
|
not sure anyone in hc would try to use rf till the very end, else risk an "oops". then again, just don't use rf itself and enjoy lol worthy hp.

I want to make RF build and just learned that Inner Force will increase damage to self ...
So what about passives "increase area damage" will that effect RF? if so will it increase damage done to self too ?
Do increased Fire Damage mods increase both the self damage and the damage to enemies or only the enemy part?
