So if I wanted the bonus 90% spell damage I have no choice but to plan a build that reduces the burn damage to a more manageable level. |

tested RF with CI in closed. doesn't work.

" The damage output is crazy. I've been completely bulldozing Normal and Cruel with a super cheap RF Marauder; only had to pick up a Springleaf from trade. Late game, you can get your passive Fire Resist quite high; 75% base, 5% from Elemental Adaptation (passive), 5% from Saffel's Frame (Unique Shield), 3-5% from Purity (Aura; getting 5% requires the passive Inner Force). With a Ruby Flask and IF, you can become immune to Fire temporarily. The damage is quite managable at that point. |

So how would Righteous Fire interact with Elemental Equilibrium?
If the fire damage ticking constantly would change their resistances back to +25% fire and -50% lightning and cold pretty much instantly after being hit with lightning or cold, then it might make for some awesome builds focusing on cold and lightning AoE. If the burn damage from RF doesn't trigger EE, maybe you could hit it with another element to lower enemy resistances to fire and make RF do more damage. I might try making a build out of this, but one outcome would require a very different build from the other, so I need to know which one (if either) would happen. Edit: I suspect RF's DoT won't trigger EE because it isn't a "hit", but I don't want to build my character around an assumption. Last edited by StarlightGamer#6805 on Feb 4, 2013, 3:29:06 PM

i currently have a lvl 59 RF marauder fully equiped.
Merc is beeing hard to play because monsters hit like a truck... searching for regrets, i'm sure that this build need some points in ARMOR and +6% all res. MY build have full nodes of + max life/regen at lvl 59, doing an INSANE damage with 3900 HP (1850 dmg/sec) killing things in less than 5 secs. But the problem now is: i dont have armor enough to reduce dmg and keep myself alive from RF burn =/ Im planning in make a video of my gameplay and how to build a RF marauder. Currently im testing a variance with Flame totem to take advantage of Redbeak sword and RF spell dmg bonus. Doing good but still need some things to be fixed to have a strong build. |

Question for Mark:
With regards to Inner Force and Righteous fire, I know that the damage done to the player is increased. How about a 20% quality righteous fire which provides increased spell damage AND more spell damage? Will those two properties experience a 30% buff in effects as well due to Inner Force?
