Development Manifesto: Harvest Crafting
" I agree with you, harvest in this league was the first time I started to make my own gear.. I dont play 12h per day and harvest helped me to get some good items.. now the game will be only farming and farming again to have enough currency to buy items from players that know how to craft in other systems.. since I am a new player I dont understand all craft systems and this is really bad for me and now will be even harder.. |

Meh, it's not like I enjoyed having decent gear without playing 12 hours a day.

I think this is needed, and I play SSF. I played ever since Invasion league and dont really like what POE has become through this... there are just godtier items everywhere on every stream, maybe I like suffering, but POE is suposed to be a really hard journey. Hope GGG goes through with this, honestly !

If this is your stance, I won't buy any MTX or supporter packs. Keep harvest as is.

I think GGG forgets something: build diversity.
Meta basically dictates what items god-tier crafter make, and by extension, what items are available for us regular players to buy. I like playing non-meta builds, but with the new, much harder, end-game content, I thought I would have to make the same character as everybody else. But harvest made possible for me to craft my own stuff. And crafting your own items is a much better feeling than spamming trade sites, hoping somebody sells the right kind of item for you. I actually realized that this season, I spent much more time in-game than on trading weebsites (it used to be the opposite). It feels more like an actual game now. About deterministic crafting, you huys started deterministic loot with Heist, and did it once again with Ritual. It is also consistent with the mod pool for items getting much bigger over time. Let's be realistic, exalt slamming is just not a viable means of crafting any more. Harvest would be fine if not directly tradable, that way people who want to improve their own items can do so, and the ones who like to buy stuff from other players can do it as well. Perhaps a time-limit, blocking trade on harvest-crafted items for an hour or so. This would still allow the trade of finished crafted items, but not unlimited targeted augments/annuls. Finally, Harvest gives an end-game farming option for people who don't have a 'magic' computer. I don't mean a high-end gaming computer, I've got one and it is apparently not the right kind. I mean the kind of coputer that allows you to run 100% delirium maps with breach + legion + harbinger + metamorph. (the most rewarding scarabs being the most laggy ones, weird.) Also, that's a LOT of purple. Last edited by KETTR1CKEN#3337 on Mar 11, 2021, 8:28:20 AM

This is just sad. First time we get a reasonable crafting system with some thought behind it and you nuke it from orbit. Again.
I know you want us to just buy our gear on trade and leave the crafting to the top players and streamers, but that gets kinda boring league after league. |
