After a month in [3.16] the time has come to do another overview like in the last leagues. Arachnophilia!
The Allstars are greeting this league everybody from the shining top of the peak in the guardian ascendancy. Arachnophobiatics lead the Boards. Only groupplay-specialized supportbots without own mainskills are faster racers. The allstars in [3.16] Scourge A New League ... The Path of Dawn The big buff is with us: armour and evasion were both buffed as sources of defences and divine shield is a safe new keystone against dot-damage. With big improvements to defences, which were overall raised with even 2 more new keystones and with the spellblockclusters we raise from glancing blows 35% dr up to new advanced 100% damagereductions fullblock. On top of the peak we are able in [3.16] to buff our damage extreme high 75% (4-8 M, from 5/11M up to 9/18M in the different editions). Fullblock Because some easy layers of defences like blindings or dodges were removed or nerfed, Es and Max mana with unusable healthy mind is nerfed too, the blue/ red nightmare is not valuable, and so is max managuardian mechanics as es from mana with memory vault and watcher's eye and tree lowered, my thoughts starting into [3.16] overall were: Let's choose and balance to the other strong top layers of defences: fullblockings. They cooperate best with our second top stat beside armour: 2.5k es on block, not reachable by other builds, and oir guardian skill molten shell and our frostshield. Especially spellblocking are buffed a lot on the tree and with new easy tempest shield-aura. With buffed armour, 2500 es on fullblock, and buffed es-stats on gear it's the tank of tanks again like last leagues! Hehe! Overall the path of fullblock is tanky fancy. Divine shield and wicked ward are very interesting included & involved with inserting the thread of hope large radius. The spellblocknotes are pathed much faster in the new tree and we are able to skill tempestshield with huge 25% spellblock, some autotriggered virulences and nice-to-have immunities against shockings. When we block 3 hits (75%) full and one hit (25%) reachs us, we substain and recover 7.5k es in this sequenze. And blockings are not limited, this works 10x each second in simulacrumwaves or ueber-blights. So the fullblock is recommended around 60%-60% chance to block and spellblock without glancing blows. Glancing blows remains interesting for levelling, not fullgeared and when you want to balance some passives into the chaos-mastery's damage - which works with fullblock also, only you need some more levels. Fullblock vs Glancing blows Damagereductions fullblock: (50-)60+75/2% × 100% dr= average 6750% dr with bastion of hope 2/ 5 sec 15%= 9% more/2 average= 7150 dr and more continious attackblock 2/5 sec - in maps a rumi's concotion flask caps your blockings up to 75% easy, only bossing you do not get capped blockings - fullblock raises 250% the capacities of your molten shell and frostshield in damagepeaks (like full delirium-maps or deep delve) Damagereductions Glancing blows: 75/75% × 35% = average 2625% dr, but 7-12% more es/ block Advice: in 3.16 with nice blockclusters and masteries use fullblock with 200% more average damagereductions of course! Time of need vs Bastion of Hope Time of need + Most important: you don't need cwdt and can use cws + 80% permament curseresistances is huge in cursed mapmods and frees up a bottle-suffix + each 4 seconds 2.5k es regenerations (equal to 7.5% es-reg average) is great too Bastion of Hope - Most important: stun-immunities raises from 60% to 100%: these forces us to prefer cwdt over cws - a huge downside as CI, cws is much better to use full level 20 frostshield (20-39% damagereductions, 4k/es sec) and sniper's mark autotriggered + You get 2% attackblock on the transferpoint + You get average 8-13% more attackblock + You can switch in 2 passives more because of 10% spellblock triggered That's allstar's tankystyle, we are ready and prepared for all scourges with 250++ stackings and all ueber-content waves 30. Typical ehp/ damage 3.16 Allstars, not full geared, unbuffed New Passive tree and masteries With huge changes in the passive tree GGG reorganized all defensive layers. For the allstars path between shieldpassives, clusters and CI-keystone a lot possibilities opened up in 3.16. With a lot spellblock-passives on our path we drive the new tankyroad of fullblock without glancing blows. For me it were many updates to write in the build too with new skills, tradelinks, jewels and clusters, flasks, etc. Still now a few updates on page 50 are missing, but almost everything is 3dited and completed. New jewels and clusters We maximal win integrating "thread of hope" to target divine shield as layer of es-regeneration, and skill-efficiencies and miniondamage are located fanzy fitting in the large ring too. Split personality is now most often b.i.s. with the combination int and es. Attackblockings on large clusters and use of tempestshield enables the Fullblockedition. Sublime form enable more easy grace early without aul's uprising. Healthy mind and the blue nightmare were removed and are remaining only starter-gear-variations. 3 new keystones Only 3 used passivepoints for buffed wicked ward and powered by armour increased recharge of the new ar/+ es mastery adds a relaxing new layer of more continuous es-recharge. Divine shield covers up most dangerous dot and degen damage. They are no longer weak spots of the build. With these changes dot's and degens lost almost all former danger against the build. Runebinder is in our pathing now one point for more virulences with storm brands singletarget. Keystone Ghost dance is following after phase acrobatics the next strong alternative keystone on the bodyarmour instead iron reflexes or instead reached by pathing 5 passives. It adds with high grace 600 es es when hit as new layer of recovery beside 1.2 k es on block, 50%, buffed 90%, evasion and maximizing molten shell's and frostshield's capacities. Buffed 400k ehp are unique. Further changes The new +1 Chaos mastery adds on top a lot flexibility to step into HoA lvl 28 or 31. B.i.s. rare amultes can open up a lot possibilities in both damage with increased gemlevels as also granted skills like detemination and up to 60% reservation-efficiencies. Unbound ailments as supports for spiders optimizes the damage a bit more, and awakened void manipulation is a nice variation in the HoA supports as well as a new possibility to scale chaos damage further. Thank you again monik390 and erigol07 for these strong additions! "Presage" is more easy to path as alternative in gearing and levelling too in [3.16]. Improvement of the build Luetjeminze added nice levelling pathing trees !! So the build got a lot more beginner-friendly also with a lot recommended new levelling gear items and skills. Too long spoilers were seperated into shorter spoilers in "gear, skills, links". The tradelinks were organized a little bit better. The tipps for levelling and the ailments-spoilers were improved much. Helmet In [3.16] the new big b.i.s. is a Eber's Unification Circlet for nice 25%-30% more damage. Ylfeban's Trickery for hexes and shocking ground (together with tempest shield's own shock-immunities), an ancient skull, a Vertex Vaal Mask for the mix of ar and es or simply a rare helmet with high es and other stats are strong new alternatives too. Our decades beloved Memory vault with high armour is better to be changed out because of it's unique downside of 20% less skillreservations efficiencies. With the changes of much less mana without healthy mind jewel and changes to mechanics of skill reservation efficiencies and the armour-formula buff with much more physical damagereduction overall our centuries long beloved "Memory Vault" will rest in peace. The decade of 25% more damage with "Eber's Unification" starts. Full damage 100% chaosconversion With the new helmet, 15 withers, awakened void manipulation, triad grips, and the chaos mastery a strong team push the damage high to 17M while having keystone on armour free for iron reflexes and enough passives for fullblock and the amulet is keeped beeing choosen flexible also. Only the 6.8k es and a bit missing castspeed are not perfect, but lvl 31 HoA is reached with free amulet- and free armour and free weaponslot, that's awesome. Thank you monik390 for nice and fine pathing and gearing! We added also the needed cast speed with anomalous divergent HoA lvl 21 and possibilities like septic spells, cursemastery, circle of nostalgia with increased hoA pison-buff. Ailments With very interesting "tempest shield" for the fullblock-edition we get also 100% shock-immunities. Flask Vessel of Vinktar became a strong variant as well as helmet Ylfeban's Trickery with these immunities. Leaguestart Some users had hard experiences in leaguestart levelling, mainly because they forgot changing flasks after transforming to CI, did not used maxed pantheons and corrupted-blood-immunities against Sirus, because Arakaali fang was high prizes traded, or they were not generating the mandatory HoA- maximal virulences without serpentine spellslinger, the golden rule or without added castspeed for their maindamageskill. Also prices of some gear were peak-high in trade and far not easy to manage as in some leagues before. Nonetheless most and many experienced Arachnophobiatics were in top positions again in leaguestartdays and climbed all content fast and safe into the leading ranks! Trading: a not easy market Arakaali's Fang, Aul's uprising, Iron reflexes and Empower Supports were high price fixed in trade and market again like in 3.15 and were with 2 exalts one of the expensive gearpieces in poe-market. Large clusters rised in prices too, bodyarmour and aul's uprising lowered prices after first peaks of leaguestarting days. Awesome. Popularity of the Allstars-build Youtuber, Streamer and Veteran of the Game Zizaran adviced to Arachnophobia Allstars build again as one of the best Herald builds in his streams. First time since [3.07] Legion !! again the Herald of Agony was the most popular used mainskill in the guardian-ascendancy with 26% and more. Also in all classes and ascendancies the Arachnophobia-build again dominated and was used 84% and more in this skill-category. But the guardian-ascendancy is a bit less played overall as in last leagues - only HoA is climbing in popularity much. 600 k / 0.6 M views of the build and thread - I never believed that the Arachnophobia Allstars would create so much interests as I started it in january 21! It's in these moments and months by far the most popular guardian build in the forums. 100k views in 10 days are unbelievable sane top peak! The crawler raises his dirty tail! New keynotes, buffed keynotes. Dodge is nerfed, block remains. Armour is buffed into the top as well as flasks and ailment avoidances. So here the build will be probably pathing: Buffs Armour One of the biggest 3.16 buffs, armour gets up to 100% more effective. We need less pdr and less substain. In combinations with iron reflexes, buffed Grace, extreme buffed flasks, buffed ar- and es- base stats on gear and in the variant militant faith/ transcendence against maven/ ueber-atziri a lot balance is to try and work out. With our possibilities of maxed layers of defences, armour combined with substain and es we will probably benefit most of all ascendancies of these buffs. New keynote Divine shield Waiting for numbers and percents, but this looks awesome and covers perhaps safe our last weak spots degen and dot. We are born to shield. We are gods of physical damage preventions. Perfect. An interesting addition to es/ block or variant to bottled faith or watcher's eye es on hit mod. With very interesting "tempest shield" for the fullblock-edition we get also 100% shock-immunities. Buffed Purity of elements is another interesting alternative instead grace with iron reflexes, also hatred, haste or pride of course too when we reach on gear high immunities with the buffs of 3.16. New passives Armour and es synergies - absolute great, more maxed elemental resistances - very interesting More passives with spellblock - very nice and perhaps there are some other paths opening of maxblock than glancing blows (bastion of hope, clusters, etc.). Vaal molten shell gets now with 40% damagereductions and +850 armour - nice Other changes With divine shield also the new buffed wicked ward can become a new keynote-variation in the build. Nerfs Blindings Blindings raised our ehp 25% until 3.16, but were not mandatory because top defences and the long row layers of defences, as for example the op-combination of frostshield and molten shell. With buffed armour and buffed evasion we can compensate and are still buffed top in defences. Of course our high recovery es on block helps a lot and triggers much more often our healings on block. The knockbacks of divergent sniper's mark, a cluster "bodyguard" or "conjured wall" or of the unique flask Lion's roar raises our ehp, the damagereductions of frostshield to 60% and the capacities of molten shell + frost shield as well as alternatives to blindings. Frost walls linked to cws, as used in the Tank-edition, is a very strong alternative for our ranged CI-build. Also anomalous sigil of power works great with 20% added damagereductions, - or phantasms support in HoA links or zombies/ spectres/ animate guardian in a hungry loop - ring added as shielding meat shields. Cyclopean coil with a bit strength added raises to be a nice variation instead stygian belt or more es and immunities on a rare belt or stats like spellblock, chance to hinder for our own or summon-phantasms spells, or increased attackspeed of minions. As alternative we can easy reach 50% evasion and more with buffed grace, our maxed out global defences and auraeffects, switch out iron reflexes for other keynotes or increased hoa-gemlevels, and keep doubling the capacities of maxed molten shell and frostshield with untransfered extreme buffed evasion. We wait for the concrete patch. Mana With our 3 auras and aul's uprising aura we should perhaps be buffed like written and anounced in manifesto. We need to change 1× uncompromising to Self-Control on one small cluster. But we need still also again to wait for the slow shortlegged crawler as always: how manareservations of the herald and reductions on circle of nostalgia, helmet enchant or discord artisan are patched were not mentioned until now, let's hope they remain unnerfed as heralds, there is zero-null aura-tag on the gems so I am very optimistic. Memory vault Compensated by buffed determination, buffed grace, buffed vaal molten shell and perhaps new passives, and buffed base stats of gear and passive tree. Overall all our defences are buffed 80% and more even with nerf of MV. Edition "make hatred, not grace": elemental-equilirium Buffs of elemental exposure on triggerwand compensate a bit. Rare amulet with +2 increased gemlevels offer almost the same damage, cold iron point dagger or hungry loop for supportminions add the same damage, culling strike is another variant, or physical-damage-buffs with impale/dreadbanner/pride or only dread banner as a smaller buff or more curses like vulnerability and punishment etc. Vaal grace Vaal grace offers now 15% evasion - we will still use it as back-up for all other cooldowns like vaal discipline, but with the small nerf we can probably switch out "increased duration" on rainbow-boots for more valuable gems like taunts of defiance banner or cws- frostwall/ holyrelic/ golem & feeding frenzy etc. Overall With the new 50% - 100% buffed armour formula perhaps we easy change iron reflexes to increased gemlevels for much more damage, combinate our recovery with new keynote divine shield and add on top watcher's eye es on hit perfect fitting for ball-lightnings as well as dropping clarity mod with new buffed es-stats on gear for a new free skillsocket too. With all the ar, es, flasks, ailments-immunities buffs we should reach extreme tankyness with less investments and could balance into different stats or uprising damage. wheres the best place to bang out exp? mapping is getting extremely slow in terms of total exp gained, and for the once in a while that i die, it nearly wipes out a whole maps worth of exp gain

Got a late start on the HoAg build this league, got wrapped up in my first couple of characters -- but starting to get back on track. I did manage to snap up an ABSOLUTELY ABSURD Circle of Nostalgia early on in the league, along with my iron reflexes skin (3red sadly), and landed a nice scourge/corruption combo on some rainbows Along with most of the other pieces of the build... and then I learned that we're not doing ye olde Memory Vault anymore... so gonna have to farm up some more currency (or farm the the helm enchant on Eber's... ... but lab running is so... awful) so, TL;DR - a lot of things in progress atm//need to get to updating the build (also, currently crafting myself a pair of faster casting + slower proj + culling strike gloves... but my reforges have not been kind to me so far) Anything else I'm missing // big changes I need to look to do? |

BiS gloves: Paired with either Ebers or rare alternative: https://www.pathofexile.com/trade/search/Scourge/3kj9y9T5 Hunters hubris with 280-300 ES and "Nearby Enemies have -9% to Chaos Resistance". A lot cheaper and easier to get/craft, than Ebers. Or, if you run Tempest shield: Ylfeban's Trickery (creates shocked ground when hit). Damage wise it's Ebers> Rare> Ylfeban, regardless of gloves. i started with the Glancing-Blow-Version (Which is already very tanky) and tried to get a lot of armour and damage. Unfortunately my damage is quite low with 6-7m in POB and i dont know why there is such a big gap to the builds with 10-16m dmg. " "Quite low" damage is less than 5m. Your build is 9.2m with vile toxins and if you put proper gems in your dagger. Awakened unbound ailments - multistrike - withering touch - that's 2.3m dps from spiders. Also, read just 1 message above. BiS for damage is full chaos conversion, Eber's helmet, and diff body colors. I'm with just 55 virulence doing 11m dps. Hatred is outdated. To reach 11m dps with your current gear and 60 virulence, you have to make hatred-dread banner-awakened generosity, add golem-feeding frenzy, and refund passive tree to get Spiritual Command and minion offense mastery (20% offerings). But it will ruin your mana. And. 22m dps version with hatred is: 1. Using Ember's Unification 2. Using the Elemental Equilibrium skin of the lords. 3. Must use golem + feeding frenzy. 4. Hatred-dread banner-awakened generosity. 5. Using Bottled Faith 6. Using Grip of the Council. 7. A glass cannon. On the other hand, Full chaos reaches 22m with just 60 virulence, feeding frenzy, minion mastery, and a second curse. And a lot more defensive bc both grace and defensive skin of the lords are still here. I removed the storm brand and put a culling strike gem in its place. It makes the mapping much easier. I will have to switch to the storm brand when facing bosses but with the culling strike you always get the last hits and renew your spiders.

" Hi monik390, yes, the 100% chaos-damage-transformation is very interesting with void gaze and awakened void manipulation. Great set-up! But you loose a lot energy-shield (1400), and get often oneshotted (like in your youtube-video) with that low tankyness. You balanced gloves, boots, passives in templar starting-area and for 2 curses into damage, that is much and you sacrifyce other stuff in that place. Stats like overcapped resistances against quite common debuffs or curses are missing and attribute-requirements are harder to reach in your pob. The 5.1k es of your build is good when you are full-levelled or on level-ups (like I also recommend the hatred-edition), but the hatred pob reaches instead 6.5 k es, needed and recommended 1.4 k es urgent more, still uses frostshield and the huge advantages of 100% damagereductions of fullblock are on top included vs the glancing blows 35% dr of your edited pob. Most problematic without cast-speed of rare gloves you not reach continuous 60 virulences singletarget and loose millions of damage against bosses (and need melee-range or swap gems too). The advantages of your very good pob is the quite big high advantage of fitting in an added big aura instead hatred and fitting in iron reflexes or ghost dance as keystone. But the hatred edtition is in this comparing much more tanky (in the moment) in this set-up. Feeding frenzy is changed in into the spiders-supports, not linked with a golem. The chills and freezes of hatred add some defences too on top. I will love to path an 100% chaos-conversion edition with the balances from defences into damage of the triad-grips, but in combination with other auras, flasks and in fullblock for better tankyness. It's great to try to switch in the triad-grips for attractive more damage, but I would not recommend to the used auras, flasks and much too low energy-shield. Very nice set-up with top damage!
