I would go Sanctuary and Pious as 1 and 2 for the consecrated ground buffs. Penitence 3rd since it's both a dps and defense buff.

Ok that is another good note. We should probably add in a second tree in the POB for the non crit version.

Can you create a non crit tree for me and I will try and add it into the POB as reference for people when leveling? You can just make a naked tree with out gear etc and I will add to the main POB...I think level 70ish (94 points) makes sense...

Awakened Elemental Focus gives us significantly more DPS than Awakened Fire Penetration. Is there another reason I am missing that we are using Fire Pen in the POB?

We can't inflict scorched or brittle with ele focus

Which Ascendency before switching to the crit version?

I loaded the original non-crit POB from first post and switched from Elementalist to Inquisitor.

Has 4.3mil dps and here's the effective health pool:



As a Guardian we have 4mil DPS and 75/60 block without Glancing Blows. EHP:




I think I would prefer to lose the 300k dps to ensure I definitely don't die while leveling from 97-100. Thoughts?

Edit: When bastion of hope isn't active our ehp is still higher than inquisitor

Oh yes, the new amulet :)

We can use Ele Focus up until we switch to the amulet I think?

Luckily the armors were relatively cheap in 3.16. So people can choose 4b2r until amulet and then switch to 3r 3b. Or if the find a good 3r3b early, they can stick with that through end game.

I am confused. Why are we comparing Witch (elemetalist) to Templar (guardian)? I don't think we can switch character classes while playing a single character.

That's comparing Inquisitor to Guardian. I was just saying I used the original non-crit pob from first post. That one was changed to elementalist so i had to switch it back to inquisitor/guardian by changing starting nodes.

Edit: If I'm following correctly, we'll start out using the non-crit tree and not switch to crit until level 95+ and have the necklace.

are those guardian EHP numbers right? Those look like immortal level numbers. Is the DPS almost zero for Guardian?

My bad about the previous post, I misread and thought you were using Elementalist. It makes more sense to me now.

Level 95 to make the switch is later than I hoped though. I had originally assumed we could switch the crit before we had the amulet in hand but maybe that is incorrect...

If we use Guardian with out Glancing Blows, we could maybe even work in a Rumi's Concoction to get more spell block and more armor (not that we need it with these insane EHP numbers). I can't wait to study this to see where the EHP numbers are coming from.
