Dodge, as I've mentioned, is insanely powerful as a defensive technique in Wolcen, but balancing it with effective offence isn't easy. I find myself having to reconfigure my second and third wheel approaches and timing. Man, this game is so much fun when you ignore guides and meta. Unlike PoE, which is the opposite.

Dodge doesn't seem as reliable as block.

Block is far more reliable but not innate full damage mitigation (yet one more thing to unlearn from PoE, where block should never have been full damage mitigation).

I've always favoured quick and fast evasive characters and Wolcen *really* rewards that style. It's far from optimal (as it always will be in any game that isn't designed for it, eg Tenchu, AC, Sekiro) but it's doable and feels great to take down a big bad by rolling out of its telegraphed killer hits, or failing to do so and seeing 'dodge' more often than not.

This isn't POE where you can easily get one shot. With the right build, it is possible to just face tank.

Moderators are tasked with keeping their small plots of land from falling into a state of anarchy and rampant hate. Moderating content doesn’t have to be such traumatic experience that imperil their mental health and lead to post-traumatic stress.

Maybe they are afraid to know how unreasonable they are, refusing to take responsibility and they are never at fault. If they only want to rule atop their iron throne, who am I to judge?

I love the significance of passives in Wolcen as opposed to PoE's. A lot. I definitely mucked up the pathing of my dual-wield dodger somehow and so spent the requisite affinity to try again. Spin a wheel here, pick a slightly different path there. The end result was largely the same as before in terms of focus but I grabbed a few major nodes I missed the first time, and they made a world of difference.

I do not miss gaining a level in PoE and clicking +10 to attribute. For the third time. Whoopdefuckindoo. I simply don't.
