Hey, can i use Bane with this Build or do i need to change to much for it?

Hi, I decided to use this build to start this league but I have some thing I don't understand.
1) Why do u pick Pain Attunement? From what I can see u wont be staying in Low Life for it to be effective.
2) What's the point of using Wither and Spreading Rot? Wouldn't it be better to just use one of them?

You should only pick it when you have the legion timeless jewel that transforms it (pain attunement -> wind dancer).

U r reserving most of your mana for auras so U use Eldritch Battery so cast your skills, and since Eldritch makes your ES protect your mana, u can use MoM since all dmg u take goes for life

It's better in the endgame, but when you still don't have much damage I preffered stacking wither stacks faster to deal my optimal damage more reliably.
This is why the endgame PoB doesn't use spreading rot. Feel free to ditch it if you feel like you don't mind placing totems/having lower damage on random rares.

Sure you can. Ditch blight and spreading rot, use bane. As simple as that.

Cwtd steelskin is fine, but if you have defense problems before yellow maps, there's probbaly another problem.
Make sure you have at least 3k life and you are rescapped, and try to get MoM and a kintsugi to reach 4.5 ehp.

I appreciate the response, I'm no beginner to the game, just playing ED/C. So I have all the usual suspects checked off. My biggest issue is I feel too vulnerable even with all the simple bases covered. So I decided to modify the tree a little, and I'm going to pick up a shield for the time being. Once I get my gear settled and I pick up Kintsugi and a few other notables, I'll regrab EB+MoM. If you have any other direct advice I would appreciate that as well.

I think he is talking about the leveling section, as it includes trees from 3.7 and 3.9...
