Summon Skeletons

Skeletons feel bugged

Their targeting makes no sense at all

You can have skeletons attacking the boss of a map, when "adds" spawn they will start trying to attack "adds"

They also get stunned 247 because of their low low base life pool.

Im pretty sure they changes to this skill should be

1. Extra skeletons on gem/jewels/passive tree

2. Fixed targeting so they dont randomly fail during a boss fight.

3. Immune to stun

This could be a fun build but its got alot of issues atm
Im using a queen's escape and the skeletons feel slow as fuck still. They walk like they have a shit in their pants.

The 1 skeleton per cast is just a HUGE fuck you to anyone who wants to play this character build.

I would rather you nerf the damage slightly to give me back the old casting. This is my first build for 3.0 and thought it would be fine, but nah, this shit is aids.

FIX THIS.

Finally got a Poorjoy's Asylum after 3.0

In 2.6, I could wreck Poorjoys with skeleton warriors.

In 3.0, I got wrekt in Poorjoys with skeleton warriors.

Thanks for the "buff". /s
And the new To Dust jewels are apparently so rare that they are selling for the better part of an exalt and there are only like 100 even listed on poe.trade, and probably 90% of those are just price fixing.

Way to go GGG, once again. Just another example of how you fucking hate every summoner and every player who plays, or wants to play a summoner.

Army of Bones = Fun, common enough to make a build around

To Dust = "Fuck you." - GGG, 2017
This gem definitely needs some love, as of now it is the worst of all summon gems.

To make this skill unique and interesting I would propose to add a new feature to the gem: every mob slain by a skeleton becomes a new skeleton (as it had been just summoned with the skill). When the skeleton limit is reached, the oldest one dies.

This would allow for entirely new builds and give this skill it's own niche. After increasing the skeleton limit with uniques and skills to a solid amount, you could drop 1-2 skeletons into a room and watch them duplicate until the room is clear and then die off. Basically: enter room, 2x casts, walk off to next room. It wouldn't be all to useful on bosses, but this is where SRS/Vaal Skeletons shine anyways, and there would be barely a way (or a reason) to make skeletons viable here.
Skeletons' number could have been reduced, yes, but not to the point where you have half of your damn army. Speaking of army...

I honestly did not expected that all Army of Bones jewels would be destroyed (even corrupted ones). I mean, onl new ones were supposed to be found under the new name. I understand this was done to not disrupt the balance on the new amount of possible skeletons, but GGG just said "screw you" with this change.

And what do they throw in to compensate for this "balance"?

And in all honesty, it's not a terrible jewel. The cooldown is barely noticeable if you move from room to room summoning skeletons. But we can all agree that nothing will replace Army of Bones jewel.

My 2.6 skeleton warrior build had 30 skeletons. Now I have 10. That's less than half.

Oh, I had 20. Used to have 24 and even reached 30 once, but decided to focus a bit more on survivability.

Well, I did some testing and with a crafted chestpiece and any other unique item that grants you a skeletons (with the exception of Queen/Escape) you can reach 12 skeletons, even more. Max amount right now, if using 2 Midnight Bargain, is 13 skeletons.

So yeah, pretty much not an army as before. Their current damage compensates a bit for such loss, but I miss my 20 skeletons :^(

I have a level 20 summoner witch and i personally find durational life on summons to be really underwhelming disappointing. The one game that got summoning correct was diablo 2 and while revive had durational life, the rest of the minions in the game lived until they were killed, having a pack of minions to auto-attack around was the best part of the playstyle, the amazing ease or use with a curse here or there. Having to Re-cast skeletons every 20 seconds or so dampens the purpose of the playstyle.
