People have been reaching shaper since less than a week into the league. This is standard procedure. I am much more of a casual player and still have had endgame on farm mode since 3 weeks into the league. The name of the game is efficiency and RNG. If you are willing to buff up your maps via standard currency, sextants, and most importantly patience, you will eventually get to a point where you can sustain t14+ and never buy a single map again. Did I need to buy a few maps to make things easier? Sure, I bought half a dozen unique maps and maybe a handful of rare ones to help me get 100% atlas completion, but buying maps is a QOL investment rather than a must-have. Do not forget that this game is largely RNG. The 5x/each Guardian maps that I currently have stashed can yield me 0 dividends and leave me in the dust. But by properly buffing them and putting myself in a position to farm them, I can do Shaper without any outside help endlessly if I wanted because I put myself in a position to get any map from anywhere in the atlas. You need to buy sextants though :D I just alch and vaal and go this league and still out of alch and vaal orb occasionally and still drop to t13 often. My personal experience wasn't good either. I have blocked all the white and yellow maps for Vault and have been using 6 sextants + Zana's random mod on it but still ran out of T14+ maps. Absolutely no relevant sample size, I know. And sextants, yes, I'd like GGG to add them to the list of default orbs for selling items.
