Where did you see that? My interpretation is that that prefix which adds life can't be crafted together with the +life prefix if it is already on that item

Its not about making everyone the same. Its about the content of the game, and making balances to mechanics to not make playing the game trivial.
I'm starting to think if the GGG should not made another game called PoE II, instead of change "drastically" the same game we are playing since 2012.

The Actual PoE could have its end in 2.6.x version for those who want to play this version. Only maintanence should be made.

The 3.0 version could be another PoE game, considering that all will change including the start point of the history.
All I am seeing in the comments is "I can't play the game unless I'm using straight cookie cutter methods like poison and ES." Everyone acts surprised, I figured this was something that was knowingly coming and I welcome the changes personally.

I've hardly touched either in the past few leagues just because of how boring they seem, it takes very little skill as mentioned here. Learn to adapt, improve and git gud.

It has to do with powercreep, if they just straight up buffed life then in a few leagues things get more and more outta hand, then to deal with this they have to make things hit even harder making 1 shot mechanics more main stream.

WAIT, you mean your end game gear, the very final thing you buy in the game, will be expensive?!? WahwahwahWOW.

They are also planning on tweaking volatiles. All these changes are fair, even without beta testing. But remember, THESE WILL ALL BE BETA TESTED. The only thing I don't like about these changes is the way in which they announced them, they should have done the following:

-Frequently say these are not final changes and will be tested in the beta (they said it at least once but people are stupid).

-Post alongside of it the reminder that 3.0 will also add the Pantheon system, adding insane defensive boosts to the player (again people are stupid and completely forgot about the defensive buffs we are getting that will counteract the nerfs to ES).

-Make some comment about the changes to reflect and volatiles that ZiggyD confirmed they are working on and Rory has said they are planned for 3.0
