Making my first post here, this is my second character I've played since starting late last league.

I've just recently switched to CI after spending around ~15-20c on ES gear. (Not including using 60fuses to 5L my chest).


My ES is only about 7k with disc on. I know this is on the low end so I'm looking for suggestions, I want to be able to farm shaped mesa/strands and such efficiently primarily. I realize I can use a shield to help increase my survivability and low ES issue but don't really wanna give up the cast speed from dual wielding daggers.


How much do you guys think it'll cost to upgrade my gear so I can farm those maps efficiently? Also any other recommendations/suggestions would be super helpful.


I'm currently running Disc and Anger but might switch Anger out for something else? I also only am using 1 vaal disc so might start using 2 soon. (Realize I also need new flasks lol)

Thanks for your advice it really helped in my survivability. What should i upgrade next? Im really low in cast speed:+83%, crit chance:23% (multiplier seems fine), spell fire dmg:668-1002. I also have bad dexterity so i had to spend 1 passive point on agility (+30dex).

Does it worth to spend all of my chaos on something like this?

Sorry if this has been mentioned, can't read 140 pages to check...
but Nycta's Lantern ist an awesome budget levelling Item for this build. Used it until ~lvl 70 and loosing a bit of damage now going to 5L instead. Missing a bit of crit due to 3L max, but damage for everything up to low tier maps is awesome: added fire, +2lvl of gem and a little ele damage. Can use Leap slam for mobility and (relatively low lvl) Scepters for offhand with cast speed are also quite cheap. Also Templar looks like insane psycho with dual wield sceptres...

Currently lvl 79.

I feel i'm reaching map tiers that are becomming challanging for me.
Like many others, my dps seems to be ok but i'm taking big hits.

I run the life build so i've been focussing mostly on life & res.

Will i benefit from swapping some pieces to armor instead of armor/es? should i ignore armor and just go for as much life & es possible?

I think biggest upgrade for you is 26-28 cast speed dagger and better helmet ( 320-340 es )

I just run the number and I think non-crit elementalist (with ele-overload) could hit the same number as inquisitor (if not more) .
Mastermind of discord + fire pen + dual curse could reduce enemy's fire res (even if capped) to below 0, also since there is no need to stack crit on dagger/shield, one can also use +3 staff and invest more into +spell/fire/cast speed nodes because we don't have to spend points on crit nodes.

Hierophant can be better in single targeting also, if you don't take ancestral bond (no totem nodes necessary either, since you can already put 3 totems without it). Ancestral bond only increases 54% damage if you have already 3 totems.
Link fireblast-fire pen-fast cast-controlled destruction on helmet for self cast (rime gaze for free concentrated effect and 20% resist penetration if you decide to take Illuminated devotion, but overall Sanctuary of Thought might be better). Add the beast fur shawl for insane regen.
