Lightning Scorpion Pet Looks Cool, But...

90 Dollars? Really? For THAT? In my opinion It's not amazing enough to warrant a 90 dollar price tag. Maybe you guys should buff it a little, to make it a bit more epic to warrant it's insane cost? Maybe like leaving a lightning trail wherever it walks, or possibly stabbing dead bodies causing them to pulse with electricity. Something that makes it a bit more unique compared to the other scorpions.

I know I'll get all of the "YEAH BUT YOU DON'T HAVE TO BUY IT" or "NO ONE'S FORCING YOU TO GET IT" posts, but that's okay. What do you guys think? :]

Also, just wanted to point out, the microtransactions in this game are not donations. You can treat them donations if you'd like, but in the end, regardless of how you view it, it doesn't change the fact that you're paying a price for a set product. It's a transaction, albeit a micro one.

I never said it wasn't cool, like I said in the post. I just don't think that it's cool enough to warrant the pricetag.

Seems legit, I mean, part of the idea behind the pricing I'm sure is to make some pets more rare and desirable based on the fact that they have a hefty price. I'm sure those who end up buying it will appreciate that it's a bit more special because of this.

I view the micro-transactions as donations to the company. You are donating 90$ to GGG, helping them support the game and make new content. The pet is a cute little token of appreciation.

Yes, regardless of how you view them, it doesn't change what they are. They aren't donations if you are getting something in return. You are paying for a product that you receive, and I wouldn't consider that a donation.

People are obviously free to spend $90 on whatever they want. That being said, the group that I play with would have been a lot more likely to spend more money, on top of what we already have, if we felt the prices were representative of what we got. I'm sure GGG feels they can make more money on a small number of large purchases rather than many small purchases by more people. And it's not just the $90 scorpion pet I'm referring to, but everything in the store seems grossly overpriced. As it stand now, the money I've already spent-which I felt GGG deserved-will be the extent of my contributions.

I believe one of the new scorpion pets is just $3? Many people will buy the cheap pets with few buying the expensive pets. Both end up helping GGG. The lightning scorpion is sweet, but people don't need to buy it. Many people are acting like that was the only addition in the microtransactions this patch, while there are many options for various prices. This one just will show people who big contributors are, such as the diamond kiwi.
