The update is finally done and the Arc Witch is back!
It felt good to play while testing and the numbers hold up, nothing crazy but it's still Arc after all.
I've put the weakest possible setup as default in the POB so that some people that like to spread negativity about this build will make themselves look like idiots for not being able to read the BOLD RED TEXT right below the POB.
Let's see what the buff, new Orb of Storms and Eldritch Implicits bring to this build.
you're missing the part of which gems are worthwhile to upgrade to 20% and which can be safily vaaled without, I always found that handy
also if I get this correctly:
main skill on chest piece
single target damage support on helmet (only necessary with imp/demon/archdemon helmet but easier to prepare for)
ideally:
all other gems on shield, boots and gloves
guard skills on weapon
also mayhaps some improvements:
-more wiki links if possible, I always end up searching specific items to see what exactly they do via the other links you already provide
- pointers about where we could get the gear and upgrades: for example I could search the world over for imp helmets and never find any if I dodn't do ritual, same with enchantments, I know that means labyrinth but I don't know that a short while ago

SO the damage holds up would you say it can do end game bosses/t16?

Dude, there was no league where it couldn't.

I did them all a few days ago with the new setup before any buffs, admittedly with good gear. So in 3.17 it should be just fine with average gear, Eldritch Implicits can play a part in that too.

I assumed that first, the damage is rolled and after that conversion happens (which would disable possibility for using Trinity Support in the way Enki described).
But according to wiki it is as in your link - first, the conversion happens and there are separate damage ranges and therefore separate rolls for both elements. It was counterintuitive for me but maybe it's designed like this for some other mechanics applying to specific element (add max cold, lucky roll cold, etc.). And I think I can confirm from memory the part from the wiki about tooltip - I believe that Wave of Conviction displays separate ranges after conversion.
So I guess Enki's logic holds up - as expected ;)
https://www.poewiki.net/wiki/Damage_conversion
"Conversion is applied on your character to your damage stats, which have minimum and maximum values. You can see that this happens because you can see that the min and max values of each type are already calculated on your skill, accounting for conversion. For example, assuming that you convert Physical skill 50% to Cold and 50% to Lightning, there will be enough variance in damage ranges to alternate which damage type is higher, enabling the use of Trinity Support"
That is absurd. Added damage comes before conversion, but it isn't rolled at that point? The game must roll the value after all the global modifiers are factored in. I can't imagine why GGG would do that, but it works in our favor.

I don't think that's true. Another quote from wiki:
"Damage conversion is done before any increases, or multipliers are applied to damage guaranteeing that they are only applied once. However, converted damage is affected by modifiers that apply to both the original damage type it was converted from, and the new damage type that it was converted to."
I believe that added flat damage falls under the "increases" from that sentence (hence the division to increases and multipliers).
I guess it doesn't matter when the addition to the original damage is done (as long as in the scenario of adding it after conversion, it is also added to the new damage type in appropriate ratio (conversion percentage)).
But for example, unique staff " The Fulcrum" has a following affix:
"Elemental Damage with Hits is Lucky while you are Shocked"
Even if we had pure physical build with conversion to some elements with no flat elemental added damage then the converted portion can't be taken after it was rolled for the phys damage. It requires a separate roll.

I tried to do the config in POB.
Though sadly im not sure what im doing.
Where do you put the "Exposure Type = Lightning (Configuration)" for example.
Anyway :) I get it to be about 2.5mil on GG gear, skill and tree.
Probably way off, as I am not sure what I am doing :)
Will be using as my starter for sure !
Thanks Enki XXX :)

The "Exposure Type = Lightning (Configuration)" option is only available when it's from Wave of Conviction. All other supported sources get factored in automatically.
And a reminder, the numbers you're seeing in PoB right now aren't the updated ones yet.
