[3.10] Sovyn's Lazy Pally - Tanky Templar with Max Block
" Hi again. :) You will be fine in act 2, but you will need upgrades to face Vaal. Self found it's a bit hard. I'd suggest grouping for Vaal. I just zerged him as I was determined to stay self found and solo and reach act 3 ASAP, and I play standard so it does not matter. So that's an option. In hardcore, a lot of farming would be required, and knowing how to make the most of the vendor recipes to gain currency to craft upgrades sooner. Ideally you want a pretty much finished character with 75% block, 3500+ life and 30%+ armour and evasion and preferably some spell block to facetank Vaal. Even then you will need to know the encounter inside out (practice in cruel perhaps). |

" I stopped leveling wrath and enfeeble pretty early on due to the intelligence requirement. I also run wrath on blood magic so I don't want it taking too much life. Sounds like you are on the right track for gear selection. Best of luck out there. Last edited by Sovyn#2637 on Sep 20, 2013, 2:05:20 AM

After 3.5 weeks of farming I've finally acquired a Soul Taker. It cost me 28.66 ex and an Aegis Aurora.
I played around a little bit searching for which attack to use, and soiled my pants with Infernal Blow explosions on elemental reflect mobs. I've settled down for Dominating Blow/Increased Duration/Multistrike/Melee Splash on my Bringer because I don't have to care about any sort of reflect, the raise undead guys can't raise mobs because I control them, and the mob of mobs act as a meat shield for me so I barely take damage. It does a lot less damage than Infernal Blow, but the pros vastly outweigh the cons imo. Last edited by seiferoth10#0318 on Sep 20, 2013, 2:07:51 AM

" Wow, congrats friend! That's some persistence. The Soul Taker pretty much enables that combo (due to mana draw) - pretty amazing what it can do. |
|
" As mentioned above, we are in a great position for resists. I'm capped in merciless with that gear believe it or not. :) Self found makes things interesting for sure. |
|
" Coldresist is only at 52% Fireresist is exactly at 75% the map prefix "Freezing" and the map suffixes "of Balance", "of Elemental Weakness" and especially the suffix "of Exposure" seems pretty risky for me i don't wanna nag over you build/gear, its just as a hardcore player i need max resist and some buffer-ressit on top to play as safe as possible |

Guys, I'm at level 73 and people are starting to hate me/I am getting annoyed from the knockback on Heavy Strike. Can I use glacier hammer instead? :o

" If you need it then get it. it is not a problem of the build but of your gear. I have full 78% with purity up in this gear
current gear
don't mind nonexistent BoR, using this gear to farm some currency, i have 166 iir, and yes i died a lot with low life build, but it was worth it =) i get tiered of repeating things, so have to shake myself sometime. so if you want you can get resist caped, and be tanky enough to survive in any situation (almost any), and you have good speed in map clears. i dont have problems with map prefixes you posted. PS: sorry for my bad english. ign Bester, Godlymen, boomwiz, in game from 10pm till 1am most of the time (GMT). Last edited by Borislav#2878 on Sep 20, 2013, 12:19:32 PM

" You can use any attack skill you want, this build isn't picky in that respect. If you're using an axe/mace try Infernal Blow. If you're using a sword try Reave. |
|
" What about double strike? Edit: using a sword @Meme Last edited by Myhoax#5664 on Sep 20, 2013, 4:16:13 PM
