Provisioning Wombgifts

"
to spawn items like these you listed you have to - non negotiable - have your tree (mostly) unlocked

that wont happen till ~yellow maps

before that youll spawn rares you wouldnt even consider to wear in SSF

people pretend as you can get items like these while you are lvl 60 or whatever. by then you miss most of your unlocks (last two you get from Duo fight, lvl83 zone)

if you are not a pro-speed-racer, the tree makes you able to buy items from people that are. but you wont drop such items, no way. even if you unlock your tree, try crafting with lvl75 womgifts. youll get garbage 99% of the time.

yeah, it is strong. it made 3*T1 resists items much more affordable, same with good defensive chests. but all it needs is removal of 'extra items' (so you dont get 4-5 items per click) and suddenly the tree becomes a niche mechanic with just few item types worth considering: bodies, boots, amulets, gloves for builds that do not need anything but resists. people claim weapons are good - my luck was TERRIBLE, so i cannot relate.

Yes you need most of the points to make the tree work like this, but you can still get really good stuff for the level you're at. Obviously no t1 stuff at level 60, but by late campaign/early maps it really starts ramping fast.

And then ther's these things...

Regarding weapons, multi elemental weapons are easy since you can block all phys mods in one go and then you're left with mostly good mods on the prefixes. Getting a good pure phys weapon is probably much harder (I haven't tried tho).

Curious, what do you need those last 3-6 points for, specifically ?
(And duo fight gives only 1 ?)

(And I've already given the example of 6 socket items before ilvl 50, literally impossible otherwise before red maps recipe.)

(But then all of this will change once treetree goes core.)

I think getting 6-links can happen so early because many of the notables give "+1 to item level of created items" on the tree. So I was able to get 6-links from only an ilvl46 wombgift for example, probably because its ilvl got bumped high enough for the game to be able to generate a 6-socket item.
Lifelong NEET, loud and proud about it.
Not enough to make an ilvl 25 into an ilvl 50+ one.

And I'm pretty sure that we see the final result, and that ilvl 25 body armour came from a wombgift that was less than ilvl 25.

ive gotten 2 chars into 95+s in phrecia (and third is ~90 now). used up all my blood, bought wombgifts while trying to craft specific items

and it isnt THAT great as some people here pretend it is

it's just the discord crafters upset they'll lose their foothold on the market.

yea let's nerf something that benefits the majority of players so a few currency goblins can keep their monopoly.

fracture and 20+ qual does need to go though
6 socket items? who gives a f? tabula exists and even in leagues where it is cheap people are not THAT happy to pick it, because mana will kill you. 6 link that makes you press mana flask every 5 seconds isnt any better than 3 or 4link.

wiki has the tree progression written in a nice form - to get to '150 rerolls' node you pretty much are already in act9 or 10 (and you havent spent a single point on what makes tree great - narrowing down and focusing on).

tree is strong, very strong, once you unlock it. and it takes a lot of breach encounters. i closely observed this while leveling in phrecia - the tree is GARBAGE (excluding grafts) pretty much even in white maps. it starts picking up but rares you get pre-maps are 100% random garbage, low bases, bad mods - nothing special
again - buy some ilvl50-70 tokens and try crafting with them even on fully developed tree. good luck.

good stuff starts with ilv82 and that costs 1000+ blood a pop so you cannot really spam it when white map hive grants you ~600.

it really, REALLY cannot be sped-run unless you legit progress with your atlas and character
What « discord crafters » ?

----

I guess the trouble with discussing this is that Trade SoftCore and SSF HardCore are worlds apart...
(Ruthless has its own treetree, for instance the +150 sockets and link rerolls is a +20 instead... but then Ruthless has no crafting bench either, so the treetree is still relatively powerful.)

(Anecdotically, I got my very first 5-link ever, in Ruthless. From the treetree (ilvl 56 chest armour).)

I've never used Tabula, what's the relationship with mana flasks ?? Supports increasing skill costs ?

Lol no, the beeline to +150 sockets/links reroll node is only 5 points : that's late Act 1, maybe early act 2 at worst !

You're the one that put « yellow maps » as a goal.

White map hives might be ~600 blood, but in white maps you also start getting fortresses, which are closer to ~2k, aren't they ?
grafblood rewards scale VERY steeply with map tier. if you are not in reds, you cannot afford red-level crafts, simple as that.

again - before you unlock it all - it is pretty much only good for grafts (that are gone in 3.28)

good luck getting any amazing gear while leveling (6socket items are useless when leveling, they need chromes you dont have and most likely still cannot be 6linked with fuses you dont have).

i will ask yet another time: go and 'craft' with ilvl50 or even ilvl70 wombs on a fully develop tree. youll get garbage. nothing more.

once you reach reds and start getting ilvl80+ wombs on fully unlocked tree - yes, items start to get much better. but before? please, it is the same shit you can find on the ground but with more steps

in phrecia i focused grafts (as they carry your single target and are actually easy to craft). and always bought or crafted highest usable level to have more blood storage and better 'chance to find/blood gained' mods

and even with that, my first good items - beacuse ive tried, because why not - dropped once i reached 82. i found perfect HOTM claw BEFORE i got a rare better than what you could gamble from Faustus.

people have their perception HEAVILY warped by stuff listed for 2c by speed-mappers on day 2-3-4.

during entire phrecia ive crafted just a few items that were out of the line:
179% fractured judgement staff
5500 royal plate with 30chaos and 8pdr and open suffix
T1 life, T1 phys attacks, T1crit multi, T1 all res, T1accuracy, open prefix amulet
few pairs of 35% ms, 2-3 T1 res, T1life AR/EV boots (but ive used more than 20 tokens on that, so that means 80+ items)
amethyst ring with T1 life, T1chaos, T1recoup, T2 dex, empty prefix
110% AR/EV fracture on T1 base (86) - this was actually my first ilvl83 womb, i was 91 at that time

all great items, no denying. but for ~3weeks of using and abusing.. not THAT gamebreaking

dont worry tho, they will nerf this tree to the ground. enter: Genesis Bush
