Provisioning Wombgifts

Speaking of, did anyone get any foulborn unique before the Atlas, especially for the first time getting there ?

I played 3 Keepers leagues, and I don't remember getting any before that, despite even specialising the tree into extra foulborn chance ?

(But maybe the base chance is low, and I was just unlucky - and not that you get many points anyway before the Atlas...)

----

Also foulborn currency ought to be in demand from crafters, that is going core too, isn't it ?

i think that quite a few, mostly in act 10. but i did not spent much blood on anything but grafts to keep To Dust up to date. checking ilvl i have f.tulborn(69) and f.kongor's undying rage(71) with lowest levels but i think i waited spawning them until that branch was mostly unlocked so hard to tell exactly. i also vendored most of them given even then they were unsellable and useless to me.

i will stick to my strategy tho: during first playtrough, no other tree craft gives as much power spike as a direct damage graft. rares you get from the tree in campaign are hardly better than quest rewards and mostly not worth picking up - even in much harder phrecia when every bit of resist counted.
I only started the league a week ago and played pretty casually. I haven't traded at all and my gear is far better than it would be in a normal league, all due to the tree. I have boots that would def go for at least 1d, I have a 950 edps bow (with wed implicit), a nice helmet and an ok chest. And I haven't even tried that hard.

It's far from perfect, but considering I got the bow in white maps and the boots in late yellow/early red....

This is basically SSF league. No need to farm for a basic set of gear that lets you blast through the atlas like it's an alt char with pre-farmed leveling kit.

Ngl, it's pretty fun right about now but it obviously can't stay this powerful. The tree will get nerfed and find its place among the other mechanics. Even if GGG don't hit the mark in 3.28, they change this kind of thing all the time (RIP Grav o7) and they'll get it to fit in eventually.
EV gear is actually the only type that Rog is still much better to do.

Suppression both is mandatory AND has no tag. you cannot easily target Suppression on gear with tree. so you do it via Rog (or trade)

your boots wouldnt have sold in whatever league because it is full EV pair without suppression. chaos res is LESS important than suppression, you can get 70%+ chaos res from one ring (or 100%+ if you luck out on syndicate base), capping suppress with no T2-1 rolls on at least 2 pieces is much harder
Fair enough. I was a bit sad when I realized I couldn't target suppression. The boots are still decent if you are bottom right side of the passive tree and can get a lot of suppression from there. 80% + lucky goes a long way in SC, especially if you can also get crit immunity.

The point remains, it took 2 clicks to make those boots, and they could just as well have been str or int base.
And that shows why the tree is great and doesn't need to be nerfed to much. These items are deeply mediocre but they are very very useful in SSF. The tree is right there where it should be, plz don't balance around minor trade economy, tyvm. If you can't make currency with Rog crafting anymore or rerolling fossils and selling dense fossils than do sth else, plenty of choices.
You will get a fractured base max from the tree when it comes to endgame items not a complete BoS item, but some items will be way better than what you get fro mthe ground, so the tree is just perfect, imo.

Also, if you want to craft a good item, e.g. a manaman wand(way to expensive to buy a good one) and you want to buy a fractured base on the market, that was a problem. Before the tree those bases where gulped up by flippers and sold overpriced and gambling with fracturing orbs was way to risky for most players that don't grind that much. The tree offered a much needed solution for that. The price for t2+ hybrid weapon bases was way out of line. THis league mechanic was way better than people give it credit, because all they do is get annoyed by walls and buy items on the trade market. If you want to craft you nbeed fractured bases and the tree provided them.

All hail the genesis tree ;P

Compared to proper endgame gear, yes. The point is that early gear progression (day1-3) gets a massive boost. I can see that this could lead to people (myself included) getting bored after week one because the next step in gear progression is much harder to come by. Then we're talking influenced bases, veiled mods or even "just" 6x t1. If the steps get too big, so that it's a lot of effort to get an upgrade, that's when lots of people lose interest. And IMO that's what happens when you front-load the progression so massively.

I like getting small incremental upgrades while I farm for the big-ticket late endgame stuff. If there is no more room left for those incremental improvements then the grind gets much more boring.

to spawn items like these you listed you have to - non negotiable - have your tree (mostly) unlocked

that wont happen till ~yellow maps

before that youll spawn rares you wouldnt even consider to wear in SSF

people pretend as you can get items like these while you are lvl 60 or whatever. by then you miss most of your unlocks (last two you get from Duo fight, lvl83 zone)

if you are not a pro-speed-racer, the tree makes you able to buy items from people that are. but you wont drop such items, no way. even if you unlock your tree, try crafting with lvl75 womgifts. youll get garbage 99% of the time.

yeah, it is strong. it made 3*T1 resists items much more affordable, same with good defensive chests. but all it needs is removal of 'extra items' (so you dont get 4-5 items per click) and suddenly the tree becomes a niche mechanic with just few item types worth considering: bodies, boots, amulets, gloves for builds that do not need anything but resists. people claim weapons are good - my luck was TERRIBLE, so i cannot relate.

Remove Provisioning Wombgifts altogether
Affliction, Necropolis and now Keepers are the worst leagues ever. Loot-shower fest, chase uniques too available, stacked decks and valdo boxes are a flawed design, and now the genesis tree handing out overpowered items hence invalidating several farms and crafting avenues.

The Genesis Tree will remain as a method of growing rewards from the flesh of your slain enemies, but Grafts will no longer be available.

Interesting strategy bro. I can't wait to learn more about it.
