we need aspirational endgame in 3.28 otherwise game is doomed
|
because of horrible necropolis and 3.27 (the worst league of all time) nerf fiestas caused by poe2 tourists who were FOMOed in single-player non-competitive game bc people who play for more than 30 mins a day were farming juiced maps with risks and they weren't.
we need adequate endgame like in affliction and mercenaries, with extremely difficult and rewarding maps. poe2 tourists can go to poe2 and have their fun in campaign. they are separate audience. just revamp more leagues like you did with blight/syndicate (invigoration / kulemak allflame) and make all the leagues juiceable, so we can farm them on 12-mod risk deli maps and have our fun. more scarabs/more maps meta and other target loot farmings are BORING and non-juicable, they are OK as midgame farm and for newer players, but aspirational content is needed as hell Last bumped on Feb 17, 2026, 2:37:46 PM

it would be much easier to nerf few overperforming builds - mostly int stacking
if you play something following regular power curve - juicing is just fine and the farms you mention are extremely challenging with int stack (and similar stupidly broken builds) - you are playing different game want a challenge? do an impale phys cleave and tell me you find endgame too easy :) |

" That is not reality, imo. 3.13 lovers maybe, that want the game to be easy and endgame to be farmable by just every build, maybe lol, but poe 2 tourists? Haha, i don't think they are statistically relevant, as the last two league starts where less players than before, not more. Many newer players, if there is a new game, they switch completely or don't even touch the old game in the first place. THe drain of players to poe 2 will be much bigger, than the "tourists" that come to play the old game. That said: good riddance risk scarab. It was a non optional, better than any alternative kind of deal. So smile because it happened, don't cry because it's over. Something like that always gets removed to reshuffle the meta at some point.... |

" Have to disagree here. If you have an easy to reach cealing of builds the game becomes really really boring really really fast. Poe is all about elevating your builds to godhood status, scaling builds are what makes poe fun. [Removed by Support]

then try and scale something that isnt so EASY to scale
wanna aspiration, challenge and sense of pride? phys impale Cleave awaits you wanna something sure-win, no risk - int stacking bs is the way to go most people asking for more challenges in reality simply want more loot |

" Who died and made you the supreme arbiter of what is and isn't a "real" build? Also ppl wanting more loot in a looter? Well yeah? [Removed by Support]

" he does have a point in that the powergap between builds can be huge and this is a problem becouse its imposible to balance content difficulty when some builds are far better than the rest. my take on loot is that GGG realy needs to move from quantity loot to quality loot say the higher the area the less loot it will drop but in exchange it will have increased chance for better rolls. |

" No it's not a problem "normal" content and by normal i mean any content up to and including ubers(obviously you gonna need some gear for this) can be done by any build, you don't need anything like the powerlevels that endgame builds provide to do this. Not every build needs to have the same ceiling or same powerlevel at every state of the game. It's good that to have leaguestarters and after that "normal" builds and after that we get min maxing of those builds. And after that or instead of we get uber scaling/stacking builds for ppl who want to go beyond and have the currency to do so. For every stage of the game there are builds, this is a good thing. " A nerf to Intelligence stacking does not solve the issue OP is asking about. Targeting a single archetype in isolation barely scratches the surface of the real problem. Power creep is not limited to a handful of builds. It is out of control almost everywhere. If the intention is to genuinely rein in player strength, it would require something on the scale of an Expedition league style anti power creep patch, where adjustments are applied across the entire board rather than singling out one archetype. The current state of the game is defined by excess in nearly every direction, not just among Intelligence stackers. That is precisely why OP’s suggestion holds more weight. It is far more realistic to introduce new aspirational content that rises to meet the present level of player power than to attempt a sweeping balance correction across the whole game. Nerfing Intelligence stacking alone will not meaningfully curb power creep, nor will it create the aspirational endgame experience being asked for.
