Maven fight easy, memory game too hard.

Simply say the sequence out loud. top left right top right. The maven fight is only an issue if you're an RF build.

Yeah, Maven is a bit obnoxious, but it becomes easy over time, just keep doing it, and like jack_aubrey said, saying it out loud helps, usually I just use "up/left/right".

You have 6 portals, and only 3 iterations of the memory game. You can literally skip it entirely (if that is the only issue)

maven memory game always picks top after the right side was highlighted

the maven memory game is fine,ut i would love a zoom out (like sirus stormphase) or some kind of overlay that clearly shows the highlight

visibility is the bad part and that is a very common problem in poe

This is a good point, and reminds me of something I'd genuinely forgotten about: you don't even lose exp in this fight anymore. So... who cares about the memory game, just fail it, spawn back in, and win the fight if for whatever reason remembering a pattern 6 beats long is simply impossible for you.

Well, if you instant phase her, even if you fail the memory phase, you would not see more than three memory games. That makes it impossible to lose the encounter with 6 portals, since you cannot lose more than 3 if you skip doing the memory game, either by death or by porting out via character selection, going back in, and waiting out the explosion during your invulnerability time.

By all means, we already know that you are not doing even close to 200 million damage, not even a tenth of that, so I do not know who you are trying to convince here. All you are doing is reinforcing what we already know. Your build is simply not ready for the fight if you encounter 5 memory games, or if you cannot dodge well enough to lose portals to other attacks with your zhp build.

Being real, with 200 million damage or any amount high enough to instant phase her, you only ever see the 3 mandatory unskippable phase-change memory games. Not 0 , not 4, not 5, not 6. Only 3. You only see more than 3 if your damage is low.

The only time you could possibly push her down while facing just the 2 hard scripted memory games is if you are running a billion damage glass cannon build, like an ice trap or icicle mine boss farmer. Your current build is still extremely far from that, doing only one hundredth of what those builds can achieve.

Nah, my build insta-phases everything in the game. The only reason I haven't killed uber uber elder is because I suck at dodging his attacks. A friend killed him with the same build though, but can't do uber sirus while I can do uber sirus. Some of the bosses are just harder for some people and easier for others.

And I've never gotten more than 3 memory games lol, I'm just talking about the hypothetical scenario of someone getting looped by maven if she decides to insta-do another one as soon as you enter and the explosion from previous one ends.


I literally did Black Knight carries for full 6-man groups during Settlers, insta-phasing him even with that much buffed HP and he didn't get to do a single mechanic. And Catarina carries in that same league too. And I killed uber exarch in 3.27 without a ball phase lmao, and uber eater after only 1 energize balls phase.


Even when insta-phasing maven, that doesn't change just how annoying this memory game mechanic is. Its so out of place in an ARPG. Same for the weird explosion-placing thing in the Knights of the Sun expedition boss. And ofc the newest "get the roses and bring them to the boss" one lol

These kinds of mechanics are meant for MMOs lmao

No, I'm just too lazy to do maven myself and its more fun to buy a carry than actually interact with that boss even when its insta-phased. I could do T17s too, just don't feel like it cuz they aint fun. But a rework for T17s is coming soon TM, so can't wait for that.

Also uber uber elder gets insta-phased too, I literally just died 6 times to getting hit by mechanics because too much stuff happens in that fight. Only ever tried the boss once, lost all my portals and never again attempted it. Its a waste of my time and currency lol
