Why T18 Maps Are Necessary for the Future of Endgame PoE
|
Your need for T18 is all in your head.
Is it even a fomo when devs spend months on new content and gate the most interesting of it behind uber content? I guess I truly do fear of missing out on being able to enjoy new content cause its being gated behind necessity to input ridiculous amounts of playtime. POE2 should be the ruthless vision experience and POE1 should be the zoom power fantasy sandbox to capture both audiences. I petition to return all the fun stuff that was removed or nerfed over the years back into POE1. Last edited by Bosscannon#3325 on Dec 29, 2025, 1:07:32 PM

"That would imply a future patch contains only T18 maps and nothing else. New league mechanics, core game additions and otherwise have always been for everyone. You said it yourself, everyone CAN do it. High tier endgame receiving one additional layer of difficulty doesn't change that. I, for one, don't like pressing too many buttons. That doesn't make me unskilled, lazy, complacent or whatever other descriptor you are trying to pluck from your vocabulary. - Unknown philosopher, ca. 2025

When they make a patch, lately, all the most interesting items go behind ubers. The skills they introduce - 90% of them are DOA.
I can see the trend. High tier content is the only tier of content that receives the meaningful updates. POE2 should be the ruthless vision experience and POE1 should be the zoom power fantasy sandbox to capture both audiences. " Twist your words? That is what you said verbatim. If you feel ridiculed by being quoted back, choose your words more carefully... " Yes it is, thank you for asking. How many people do you think run T17 juiced content? If you haven't noticed yet, PoE is a game meant to be played "a ridiculous amount of time" that is what it has always been like. Don't let your fear of missing out on a slice of new content stand in the way of necessary progression in the game's endgame. The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

"Nothing of that is inherently a problem with the possible addition of T18 maps. I, for one, don't like pressing too many buttons. That doesn't make me unskilled, lazy, complacent or whatever other descriptor you are trying to pluck from your vocabulary. - Unknown philosopher, ca. 2025

All this argument is ever about is about you and a small minority of players demanding for dev time to be spent catering to them while the rest is left in perpetual content drought.
POE2 should be the ruthless vision experience and POE1 should be the zoom power fantasy sandbox to capture both audiences.

" This entire board is for people asking for things they personally care about. The devs choose how they allocate their time and what issues they work on, the hell are you on about? The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

" You will never accept T18 without exlusive rewards. And exlusive rewards will always bring problems that were already described to you in copious manner. POE2 should be the ruthless vision experience and POE1 should be the zoom power fantasy sandbox to capture both audiences.

" Okay then consider my replies is asking for a thing I personally care about which happens to be opposite to what you ask. Just stop wrapping your personal wants as if they would be an objective, universal improvement for everyone. You dont really care about how any of it would affect the remainder of the playerbase. POE2 should be the ruthless vision experience and POE1 should be the zoom power fantasy sandbox to capture both audiences.
