Why T18 Maps Are Necessary for the Future of Endgame PoE
" Intelligence, Skill, Awareness Counter question: why do you want incompetent players to reach the pinnacle of content? The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

You figuring out and adhering to few archetypes that dont fall apart in t17 and farming few hundred divines for the most obvious powercreep items is not an indicator of skill or intelligence.
POE2 should be the ruthless vision experience and POE1 should be the zoom power fantasy sandbox to capture both audiences.
I petition to return all the fun stuff that was removed or nerfed over the years back into POE1. |

"So by your definition it should be fine then, since everyone can do it? I, for one, don't like pressing too many buttons. That doesn't make me unskilled, lazy, complacent or whatever other descriptor you are trying to pluck from your vocabulary. - Unknown philosopher, ca. 2025

No its not fine and why its not fine was already explained to you in this thread. Extra tiers of content with extra difficulty will further decrease variety which is the lifeblood of this game.
Or in other words: everyone CAN do it but not everyone wants this game to be an ever increasing threadmill for the sake of wasting more and more time while at the same time playing an ever decreasing variety of build archetypes. POE2 should be the ruthless vision experience and POE1 should be the zoom power fantasy sandbox to capture both audiences. "If everyone CAN do it but some chose not to, for whatever reason imaginable, then it truly isn't a problem. After all I, and I alone, decide if it's wasting my time or not. I, for one, don't like pressing too many buttons. " If you think you need a Mageblood to even effectively farm T17 maps you fall into the mentioned category of players The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

" I think that with extra difficulty layers you simply, dumbly deal with ever increasing pressure to equip even better items with even more power packed into them and that is only ever solved by just farming even longer. Now twist my words until they are easy enough to ridicule once more. POE2 should be the ruthless vision experience and POE1 should be the zoom power fantasy sandbox to capture both audiences.

" "Isn't a problem for ME" "Its not a waste of MY time" Thanks for pointing out the obvious. I will respond in kind: it is a problem for me and it will be a waste of my time and it will make this game less entertaining for me. POE2 should be the ruthless vision experience and POE1 should be the zoom power fantasy sandbox to capture both audiences.

"So basically what this genre is all about. Gotcha. Thanks for clarifying. I, for one, don't like pressing too many buttons. That doesn't make me unskilled, lazy, complacent or whatever other descriptor you are trying to pluck from your vocabulary. - Unknown philosopher, ca. 2025

"Then don't do it. Fomo is only real if you make it real. It's all in your head. I, for one, don't like pressing too many buttons. That doesn't make me unskilled, lazy, complacent or whatever other descriptor you are trying to pluck from your vocabulary. - Unknown philosopher, ca. 2025
