hmm, I really can't see myself trading class ascendancy points a single one of these options, for any of my builds.
It would be nice if there was at least one basic raw power option that could be used for average builds. like more elemental damage or more life.
(not just 8% increased life)
Frist i was like "wow" on Farric's Will, Fertile Will and Wild Will.
Charge Apes + other support minions + aura for 1-2 gems and last ascend nodes, if you have a medicore choice for the last ones

... until i reread the small node and noticed its max Spectre = 1... not +1 max Spectre
That sounds like a cheap poe2 companion version of spectre.
Yeah that's a good description of this node i guess :(


While some nodes sound nice, like 12% def per spectre or the "petriefied blood" node. They have heavy downsides or the typical ascends for those builds like necro have enough nice nodes.

40% less hit dmg, so you get hit by 60%
After 4 seconds you get 40% of that hit, not over time its one "hit". Even worst because the life ist lost. No hit interactions, no armour, no recoup, no cwdt and so on
If the final dmg is calculated pre mitigation, than it sounds like heavy garbage.
If its post mitigation (probably it is by the wording), then it could probably be nice with armour for ele/chaos as armour gets more value against smaller hits and the "40% aftershock" would calculated by that highly reduced dmg.
Still less hit interactions.

Well that could be nice up to now...
... but the real downside appears now: no jewels. That could be f.e. a dozen crit multi + life jewels, forbidden flame/flesh, split personality and so on
I can't imagine that this node could be abused in anyway to compensate for the lost of all jewels.




I am still curious about one node, prolonged servitude.
It's wording is minions can't be killed and they die delayed after being reduced to 1 life.

1. Death offering is talking about killing the minions, but not reducing life / doing dmg. So the minions can't be killed but also won't be killed after 6 seconds, because they never reached 1 life? Downside of Death offering is negated completly?

2. Combination with minion instability, its wording is like the minion explodes.
But what does explode mean exactly?
Do they get dmg?
Are they just considered "killed", which get prevented?
Do they still explode (= doing dmg) but they dont die?

What if they get healed afterwards above 50% life and get damaged again below 50%? Do they explode again?
What if we manage to constantly reduce minions life below 50% and healing it back again and reducing life again and healing again.... Does the minion explode nonstop?
I don't know maybe archmage + lifetap (=15% of mana * other supports paid as life per attack) paired with leech?
Or dark pact spamming?
Come on, you're decide gonna give us at least a couple extra ascendancy points for these, right?

First thought: new additional ascendancies - cool.

Then I understand that most likely I will be following a guide anyway and most likely I won't even use that bloodlines, because I need all the point in initial ascendancy to make the build work.

It would be cool if you could get 2 points for this new ascendancies on top of regular ones. Maybe for some end game quest.

Farrul have potential i think, characters with gem slots to spare a spec with minion life and meat shield might be able to use the buff. It would be super bad on current state of spectres, but since 3.27 will change the skill so we can keep spectres after they die, it might be worth to use a perfect tiger to get haste plus the buff, dunno how well it would hold on more juiced maps where the spectre might be deleted super fast, but well see

Lycia has the mini original sin, i can see it as a solid placeholder for those that want to play a og sin build but cant afford a ring that costs about a mirror, the big problem i see is the fact that its gated behind a sanctum clear, suppose you can use a tome found on a T1 map, but sucks to have to play that

Schizophrenic might be strong enough to warrant a downside in a character that is already stacking the mechanic, but no non-cluster jewels is a damn big one. I can see it used in niche builds, and if its gated behind a doable condition, i can see it being used as placeholder of sorts, but thats only if its only gated behind completing the first few waves of simulacrum, if its gated behind wave 10+ clear, then youre prob past the point you want it more than jewels plus a regular ascend

Cat's umbral army is one i can see as a winner over a current ascend. 12% global defenses per spectre should beat bone barrier on spectre builds and CI builds, maybe even on more traditional 4 spectres minion builds depending on the character

Most of these ideas are cool but using my hard earned ASCENDANCY points to DESCEND doesn't seem to be a good idea.

Are you joking? Umbral Army from Catarina is amazing for Holy Relic, I was running 20 SRS 10 Zombies, 4 Spectres, which would get such a buff


Either i misunderstand, or you are trolling and i don't see it. (also you lost me at the 20 srs with holy relic part). Those buffs affect the player, not the minion, the only one that is actually worth it, is the global defenses per raised spectres. Since pure spectre builds will have 9/10/12 spectres, which results in upto 144% global defenses (which is a lot).


You slap SRS on Svalinn for a constant source of regenerating life for all your minions as the SRS die, as they ramp up you get faster attacks on Lancing Steel which makes it a much more effetive trigger for the Holy Relics.
The Zombie buff doesn't do much as LS isnt really there for damage, but 48% increased defences from Spectres on top of the buffs they give is huge.
Holy Relic is already a top tier build, with these buffs it is even stronger.

Where is Mark's point that they listen to their player base.

Post was related to Aul ascendancy so far the weakest from what they shown.

How u justify 2 downsides for those ascendancy points and call it a balance??

Downside number 1: cost 2 ascend points
Downside number 2: in ascend.
