I feel like these downsides are forgetting that you are already giving up ascendancy points. They'd be reasonable if they didn't cost your ascendancy points, but with the double downside it just seems a bit much.

This is so great. Finally a reason to hunt down these lategame bosses that you usually dont bother to grind for.

And those that say these points are weak are a little clueless in my eyes.

Like 50% ele damage converted to chaos is probably one of the strongest ascendency points in the game right now. I believe stronger than original sin - that should say it all.
With that node you can easily rotate almost your entire phys to lightning to spell through all elements and then to chaos. With how added damage works in poe1, that should be pretty insane.



I love it and would like to see something like that in poe2 as well. Great system because it can be expanded so easily too.

You could already do the conversions already
Physical → Lightning → Cold → Fire → Chaos

And doing more than phys → 1 ele
was never that good because you're using a lot of slots and resources to convert elements, you may as well increase your stats with a good equip instead.

The benefit of OSIN is not worrying about elemental reflect and penetration, moreover chaos has wither which is an amazing debuff on enemies, poison is not the focus generally, because you still need poison chance.

So what is the point of this ascendancy? Well, it's basically accessing some bad poison scaling and wither. You don't access the best part of OSIN, ignoring elements.
You can do this better in other ways too.

This is a recurring issue with the nodes in these bloodlines.
why are you turning good old poe1 into bad new poe2 aka path of restrictions?
Does the "Primal Roar" (2% increased Attack Speed per Minion, up to a maximum of 80%) from Farrul also count for minions?

I thought so first and was hyped, but then realised it does not explicit states "Attack Speed FOR Minion", only "Attack Speed per Minion". Now I am unsure and unhyped. So its not for minions, but only for me? Why should i use 40 minions to benefit full of this bloodline to get increased attack speed? For faster shield charge? Vaal skeletons can reach the number 40 easy, but makes no really sense for me playing a minion build to get 80% attack speed.

Sure, 80% IAS would be quite impressive for an attack build, but investing heavy into minions for that? I dont know. Skeletons are one shot candidates anyway. You would need at least 10 minions to get 20% IAS to consider taking Primal Roar. Then you go into a map and all your minions are instant dead and you need to revive them for your attack speed build? I dont know...

Only Elementalist "Liege of the Primordial" can revive golems automatically, but if my golems dont profit from the IAS I dont see why I should ever take "Primal Roar". If golems would get the IAS it would be awesome, especially in an minion themed bloodline. Then it would be a no-brainer. Anyone an idea what "Primal Roar" would be good for?

If GGG would consider giving all bloodlines (at least) one of the "Legacy of Phrecia" ascendancy points on top, it could be wild and people would be more hyped again. Even if there are some good points in the bloodlines, I also miss this gamechanger moment in my head, that leads to the "OMG I definitely need to make a build around this" moment. But atm some of them are boring, others far too conditional, some have downsides, which makes it hard to consider them as an worthy substitute for ascendancy points. The 3 bloodline ascendancies from the trailer looked far more promising.

Do those bloodline ascendancies bosses need to be defeated for EACH of my chars? Or only once and then all my chars have access to this bloodline of this boss?

And please finally bring back TOTA... Some go delving the whole day, some go heisting the whole day, some go beast farming in menagerie the whole day, some go crafting the whole day, some are in sanctum the whole day. I dont. I want to do Trial of the Ancestors tournament the whole day. But I am not allowed, which is bad and sad.

its not just sacrifice 2 points...also sacrifice 4 gem sockets. most builds are already socket starved as it is. and on trickster you could get this for free, no downside. also would you rather sacrifice 6 gem sockets or just turn on purity of elements? this doesnt seem good at all. sorry.


Well.. trickster has been updated to 90% of base value. This one has 100% of base value. Also, you need to take into consideration the small passive leading up to it. 15% global defences is no joke neither. I look at it more from a min-max perspective. E.g. when running purity of fire sublime, you dont really need a lot of sockets and its just gem sockets, so you at least can have an abyss jewel socketed in your boots.

I think its worth it. Everyone has to decide on their own in the end. If people dont think these are good additions, ggg will reconsider. But they are there to equal out the ascendancies a bit more and not to add tons of power creep. I think its good they are more on the utility side of things. E.g. i would love to see jugg and trickster to maybe even lose their action speed immunity and get something else instead; even if it fits quite nicely thematically. But like that, people cant say they are forced into trickster or jugg because no other ascendency can run t17s.. because, frankly thats just not true any longer.

I like the concept a lot and I think they did a great job. Its fine if others dont agree.

None of these are worth traditional ascendancy points. Rework most of these before league start, these bloodline "ascendancies" are a complete failure.

That being said, you first told us that 3.27 would "go BALLISTIC on balance", and it definitely didn't. Meta barely changed if at all, and most dead and unused skills weren't even touched.

And then you tease these bloodline ascendancies as being a cool upcoming feature for customization and fun ; when the vast majority turns out to be bad if not complete trash.

I want to be hyped... but it's just hard to be
