POE 2 0.3.0b patch crashing high end pc's
I have also experienced crashes, constant disconnections, and horrible server stability.
There is also another issue introduced with either a new hotfix or patches, or it's an issue with Act3 or Act4. The game is having a memory leak problem where RAM would just gradually keep filling up, and everything becomes a slog. In-game performance chart shows 5.4GB Memory usage, but when I check Xbox gamebar and Task Manager, they both show 70% memory usage, at least 20GB. This wasn't the issue before the latest patch, or either Act 4. Perhaps a hotfix or patch messed it up. When the game starts to eat up more and more memory game becomes slower, stutters severely, and drops down to low 10fps. Then a restart solves it, but then after a while, the same issues come back. Even the launch of 0.3, performance has been way lower overall. On 0.2 other hotfix and patches, with RTX 4090 and AMD 9950X3D, I was getting constant 144fps in towns and occasional drops in heavy CPU usage areas with particles and enemies to 120 or so. But 0.3 performance has been very low and inconsistent, in towns, fps are always fluctuating from 135 to 110, and campaign areas are even worse, dropping down to as low as 40s, and the average is 100. |

i reinstall my pc and got same error, after launching the game, the computer automatically restarts.
Before the 0.3.0 update, I could play the game normally. After the update, there hasn't been a single hotfix to resolve the issue, and no staff has responded. Last edited by alanlee1026#1209 on Sep 9, 2025, 8:49:09 AM

" If none of the other fixes have worked for you then do this. Fixed my issue the man was 100% right windows defender was causing the cause. Not sure the reason why it was causing it but turning it off stopped my crashes. |

" I CONFIRM IT FIXED MY SHIT SWITCHING TO VULCAN, WITH A MINOR LOSS OF PERFORMANCE/FPS (i9-14900K, RTX5090) |

Game freezes but loads back in. It starts to happen around the end of act 2 and gets worse at the start of act3. Not a big issue but having the map refresh kinda sucks.

I’ve been having similar issues with the new patch. My system either shuts down mid game, without any warnings or BSOD or my computer would shutdown AFTER closing the game — about 1 minute after I close the game. I already purchased a new, better rated PSU and the issue still persists.
I’ve also cranked the settings down, disabling multi threading and running on Vulkan but that makes the game unplayable <25 fps. I’ve ran HWMon on another screen to observe voltages and temps and everything is nominal Settings (that worked pre patch): Windowed full screen @ 2550 x 1440 HDR on DX12 (or Vulkan for testing ) Multi threading Max visual settings Specs: MSI MAG Gaming Plus B550 R7 3700x Arctic Liquid Freezer 240 (rev 1) AIO 64 GB DDR4 (2x 32GB) MSI RTX 5060ti Ventus 3x AOC QX27G3XMN Windows 11 Anyone have any suggestions what else to try? I don’t want to risk damaging any of my hardware by playing this game. Hopefully GGG will address the issue and provide a solution. Very disappointing so far! |

" Glad it worked! Sadly, no-one else is reading. Tried to share the fix on reddit but got downvoted and removed by automod. Smh |

Imagine paying 3000$ for a 30$ game,
and the game runs like garbage. Last edited by zyzoxd#7335 on Sep 10, 2025, 11:31:32 AM
