Popular Opinion: In 3.28 League Challenges Should Require Solo Completion
" You can literally play SSF and do challenges solo that way. This is a fact. |

" This discussion is still not about whether people should play SSF or the trade league. Me playing SSF does not improve the challenge system in any way, so I kindly ask once again that we stay focused on the actual topic. Please stick to the topic at hand, which is improving the challenge system, rather than telling others to play a different game mode the moment they suggest changes or improvements. " This is all well and good, but I think it only highlights how urgent it is to make changes that improve player retention. We all know that not everyone plays the way you do, but the longer players stick around, the better the overall retention will be. " Well yes, once again you will still be able to buy your items since trade remains unchanged. This topic is not about making the game fully SSF, so I’m not sure what else to tell you, this has already been explained more times than I can count. " I can play SSF and complete the challenges there, but that would not improve the current system. I will continue to push this feedback topic until GGG makes changes, because many players want more fun and engaging challenges, challenges that actually feel like challenges, in a game they actively play and engage with. After all, this is the feedback section, and it is meant for exactly this, improving the game for those who care about it. Since you have already mentioned that you barely play and engage with the game, these changes would not affect you, but they would make a meaningful difference for the players who do and keep them around for even longer by giving them something to do. If a user is told time and time again that they are arguing against something that isn't even being discussed, but insist to argue against that convenient strawman anyway, you know it's not about making the better argument or trying to engage others in a reasonable manner.
Maybe we should just stop engaging with that. The "solo completion" thing was the hook and starting point to get the conversation about challenges going, but we've been over that enough times imo The opposite of knowledge is not illiteracy, but the illusion of knowledge.

" Don't confuse personal opinion with facts. People can play ssf to challenge themselves more by having no access to trade, that's a fact. But playing ssf itself does not make the challenges any more fun in general. That's a fact. In my opinion they should nuke trade entirely and make the whole game ssf only :) Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

" I feel like if GGG put as much effort into designing interesting challenges as they do into making sure the names are alliterative, we'd be in a better spot. Because there are always a few that I'd call good; Cross-Contamination and the gem one are great, the endgame grinds are usually good, the crazy juiced T17 one is the perfect kind of 38-40 challenge for the real enthusiasts. But the participation trophy ones don't need to exist at all, and some of the challenges genuinely annoy me because they're stuff I'm just never going to do while naturally playing the game from start to pinnacle content. Vendor recipes? Non-skillpoint side quests? Turn in specific div cards? Why would I go even two seconds out of my way to do that stuff for an armor set I'm literally never going to equip? |

" pretty much this boring stuff needs to go Flames and madness. I'm so glad I didn't miss the fun.

" Poe's whole success is based on the fact what blizzard did back then to D3 and a lot of trade andys, including toxic scammers of course and hideout warriors, but also a lot of nice gamers that just want the trade sim came over to the GGG experience and it grew from there. So, i am all for improving SSF but you can't take the candy away from the toy buisness/fake stock market lovers, hehe. Removing migration is a must though, so you can start improving SSF. " They are supposed to teach you something new about the game. Also since they're easy, they're for new and casual players so they can get rank 1 armour set. |
|
" That is a good point, it gets new people thinking, oh there is a vendor recipe for this. |
