Popular Opinion: League Challenges Should Require Solo Completion

-1 to competitive take on a system purely designed to increase player retention during a league.
challenges weren't intended for bragging rights and they should just remove the public display of them at this point its taken a toll on civility here. Services for countless things have been standard since the earliest days of PoE and even before PoE existed so its counter intuitive to what the game was modeled after and removes just another onion layer of the economy from those who enjoy providing a service. Just to leave some feedback here. Not sure why the voidstones even in the challenge discussion but I think the void stones are way too difficult to get for what they offer for specially new players or players with very limited time to play. You will need to farm t14-15-16 maps way before your build is capable of doing maven or uber elder. What I think they should do is change the void stones acquisition to similar like poe 2 where there are the cleanse of corrupted nexuses quests. Something similar here like kill 10x t11 bosses and you get the 3rd one or kill 10x tier 13 bosses and you get the 4th one. Makes absolutely no sense that they come from maven and uber elder. Even just getting uber elder set pieces requires grind. Grind that you need to do on 14+ maps. If you are hard stuck on like t11-12 because you can't drop higher tier maps due to not having enoguh WS you will struggle getting t14's where shaper and elder maps can even drop. You need 3-4 WS by then to comfortably farm them which makes no sense. I honestly rush getting 4 WS as soon as possible because I just dislike dropping t12-13 maps when I'm farming t15-16 because with 3 WS let's say your lowest maps will be t12 that can drop and will drop. I only want to drop t16 at that point if I'm farming t16's.
Other than that as for solo challenges. I would be fine with solo only challenges if they are not requiring t17 nor uber kill/conditions because those require specific builds/boss killer builds. Something that not every build is capable of doing or doing on a reasonable budget. I don't like bosskiller builds on low budget that is absolutely trash for clearing. I would absolutely hate having to level up bosskillers just to do that one challenge because my build is not good for bossing. Plus a lot of challenges require you to do certain tasks that drives up market prices. Like let's say doryani map is so rare and it cost several divines when it is part of the challenge but otherwise the map is completley useless and not worht a chaos. Things like this would be insanely hard to do solo because how rare they are for example. Buying the map and doing it solo is ofc easy but if you would need to find it solo is other question. Solo only challenges would require complete rethink the drop chances of anything part of the challenge and the number of things killed also. " Nothin about exarch, eater, maven, or uber elder can be considered difficult in a sctrade scenario. Why make everything easily attainable for first time players. You need goals to complete. The nexus system is awful for endgame progression. You are basically given 2 voidstones for free, having to grind invitations for 2 of them isn't too much to ask for. Ive played an entire league with 2 voidstones before and didn't have trouble keeping t14+ maps to run. |

" Exarch and eater voindstones are fine. Uber elder is not. Farming T16 is much easier than Uber elder. You need to be able to farm t16's way before you reach uber elder's difficulty so it makes no sense that the stone drops from uber elder. If you are farming T16 and 80% of your map drops are t12-13 it is insanely annoying and a waste. Easier just to get the 2 stones and be done with it and never drop anything below T16. I do challenges for myself, I never cared how and which ones the other people got. It's just a game afterall, ARPG on top of that, which means there will always be a busted way to get things done. Some people pick meta builds, others get carried. If it fits their playstyle, who are we to judge them?
