Hey KaiN34!

I'm glad you're running well! I chose Incinerate instead of Scorching Ray because I can't aim on PC. Scorching Ray is almost like a melee skill to me. Even though it seems like a skill that has a pretty broad stroke, it's actually pretty narrow and I can't do that. Incinerate's AoE is perfect for me. So I just added Wave of Conviction to the build to make up for Scorching Ray.

(I'm thinking that 3.11's version (though I hate changing things) is going to be Fire Trap instead :).)

That's kind of where I've now landed - almost 3.10 tree with 90% of 3.9 gems (only dropped the incinerate set up since standing/channeling was getting me killed. When I started out full on 3.10 I was just getting handled constantly. this hybrid move has helped but finding it hard and harder to survive deeper maps/encounters.

3.9 play style suited me just fine and this isn't much different (even more so now that I've moved back to the cyclone as inspiration/channel so I'm just struggling to find the disconnect. I feel my damage is pretty good, especially with Vaal RF for tough fights and the last ascendancy will only add to the damage total. So Really it comes back to a bigger life pool, more regen and maybe some addtional armor.

I did bring Holy Relic over from 3.9 but maybe there's a better CWDT synergy I can drop in there to aid in the defense/life dept? Considered Immortal Call but didn't like how that ate all the endurance charges.

You know what it might be? Just Boss tweaks. GGG has changed the main bosses lots since they've been released. If you're close to the 3.9 God-Mode, it could just be the game and not the build. I'm not sure though.

The reason I have the "buff minions" on CwDT is that they die often if the character hasn't invested in minion life. And I'm not a fan of always double-checking to see if they're up or not. But if you're looking for an extra button to press, I think Discharge would be perfect. But wait, you want to keep the charges. Maybe Frost Wall?

Cyclone won't do any damage with this build no matter what you do. We dont' invest in anything that will help it. That's the hard choice you have to make. Do I want what Cyclone brings to the table? Or more damage? It's a hard choice.

You could try add Firestorm to cyclone CwC. Since we get bunch of fire damage from the skill tree and with inspiration charges and arcane surge thats even more damage. Also decent sized AOE with no aiming needed.

Just remember to take it off if your doing elemental reflect maps.

My current gear setup.

For anyone who has few extra orbs, i would suggest getting elder influenced marble amulet. You can get the %life regen roll as suffix and you also have it as implicit. If you can get good maximum life roll on the mix. the amulet can easily beat shapers seed.

My next gear upgrade path is to get better rings (max life roll) and to 6-link my chest, so far used around 500 fuses for that. Once i get the chest 6-linked. ill change the RF from helmet to chest so RF can get the bonus from Awakened burning damage (which also are cheap, around 8 chaos).

With this setup and having all the buffs on:
RF dmg: 424399 dmg/sec
Vaal RF: 1830541 dmg/sec
Life Degen: 992 hp/sec
net life Regen: 1950 hp/sec
on concecrated ground + holy relic buff: 2980 hp/sec

I can do tier 15 rare maps with some mods (not all). Especially with delirium on, some maps can be nasty. But we can always skip the delirium or fast forward if it gets too hard.

Unfortunately I couldn't kill awakened 5 sirius. Had to call my Cyclone friend to help but apparently the whole fight was bugged.

Of course many of you will notice that I have changed the skills from the original build guide, but my passive tree matches the original.
I added leap slam as movement skills since i hate running around in maps where you can just jump over.
Also kept the purifying flame for the consecrated ground effect, just added increased area of effect support for that (for more damage swap for combustion).
Added Summon Holy Relic for the extra life regen.

NM, I see you get them by casting a fire skill.

Hey Karumph! That's right. It's mostly from using fire skills. We have small chances for getting them from killing or getting it, but it's mostly from fire skills. Our CwDT skills count as US using fire skills.
