Hi Kayella,

A quick question about your pledge of hands.
I was looking at your POB and found one of mods from you pledge of hands is 'socketed gems deal 52% more spell damage' instead of supported by lvl 30 spell echo. Where did you find this staff? or did you manually edit the mod in your POB? if latter, how lvl 30 spell echo is equivalent to 52% more spell damage?

It's a manual edit. Greater Spell Echo isn't coded in PoB, so the official wiki has this:

"
In order to simulate DPS with the staff the "Socketed Gems are Supported by Level 30 Greater Spell Echo" mod must be replaced with "Socketed Gems deal 52% more Spell Damage" when using Spell Echo Support

Just note that it is a simulation of the average damage, but you may notice in actual gameplay that it feels much stronger. Because it ramps up per repeat, the 3rd repeat has a 105% more damage modifier and 150% increased aoe. Hits like a truck and covers the screen.
A lot of player feedback for the Pledge build was about how 'powerful' the build felt compared to the wand build. That's why it really feels like SD + PoH is the perfect combo.

Can they do reflect?

No. GFRs cannot do reflect. However, Risen Vaal Advocates can. They have a 540% life modifier so they have enough hp to simply regen/leech through ele ref maps. The fire and lightning are you best two options, but I recommend lighting because they shoot their lightning bolts almost 100% of the time. Their damage and cast rate are lower than the goats, though.

RVA T16 18% reflect mapping demo: https://youtu.be/X_rAjVaHEx8

They come from Azoatle or Vaal Outpost.

What do you think what new Ascendancy will be the best for this build and will the Spectres have more or less life with those changes?

Surely the +2 to all minions skills, hands down the best one (or at least I think so)

And the other 2? ....again Aura of Darkness or are there more viable options?

Do Spectres also have 50% increased maximum life if we spawn them with the new "Corpse Pact" node?

I have followed this guide, creating a character 2 weeks before the GG, and all I can say is: Thanks for this amazing build, I had lots of fun and is totally starter-friendly.
Please, do keep with this amazing work!

+2 minion is mandatory. We'll need that plus 21/0 or 21/20 Raise Spectre to get level 83 spectres. It seems like GGG is changing the boots mod from +1 spectre to +1 gem level, so we'll need that for level 84 spectres. After, that we can decide whether to use the spectres in a +3 helmet and/or using +1/2 on convoking wand to get high level specs. I'll probably just settle for level 84 in a Pledge of Hands.

For the other two, I think Commander of Darkness is always useful because it helps res cap spectres and mostly like Bone Barrier for 20% more minion life. Dead spectres do 0 dps.

Glad you enjoyed it. It was fun sharing ideas and tweaking the build throughout 3.7. I will be doing a full build revision as soon as I can fully work through tomorrow's patch notes!

3 nodes mandatory: mindless aggression, bone barrier, +2 (unnatural strength).

for a 4th node: commander of darkness is not the best choice. Plague bringer is a lot better in terms of offense and defense. 10% damage reduction is insane. Resists you say? I think you'll have enough from the tree and now convocation will restore a lot of minion life anyways.

I personally will go for boosted offering to get extra speed to make a build faster at clearing which is what I require for my builds. Plus increased skill effect duration is such a good QoL for things like IC, Molten shell, Steel skin, Phase run, Offerings and etc.

What do you think will be the best way to get high level specters now?
+2 from necro, possibly +2 from 2 +1 spells wands or a staff I forget which. So that's easy 83 or 84. Would snapshotting them from a +3 minion helmet work?

I like Plague Bringer a lot. But here's a possible problem: how do you make sure you have corpses on the ground all the time?

You don't need the extra damage during map clear, so it doesn't really matter for that. But, endgame bosses usually have no adds or the adds leave no corpses. So you can self-cast Desecrate + Spell Cascade, which means you aren't staying mobile and are leaving yourself open to get hit by something. Also GGG has said they've reduced the corpse count. So, if you use an Offering, you consume corpses (not sure how many) & if you use Diadem, you consume 10 corpses. If you use both, you might find that you frequently have no corpses on the ground and Plague Bringer's buff becomes unreliable.

Commander is boring and kind of 'small' but it's reliable.

That's awesome, I'm shit at theorycrafting, thanks! One thing: I practiced leveling this build in the weekend, and SRS felt really clunky (gonna be weaker with no +1 fire wand), while explosive trap felt much better most of the time, more dmg, more aoe, faster. What do you think?
