The Lioneye's Watch wants some PvP clips

TIL that mulla can't take a joke.

j/k, I knew that already. Dude, you're complaining about literally everything and everyone all the fucking time. I mention you've got EA on your build to poke fun at it and you immediately start throwing out insults and pretending you're good at this game. I don't know many grown ass men who act like that irl.

@Rlowe: We get it, you're bitter. You've had the same act since I've first talked to you. Originally I thought it was kind of like Epee, where you're just bitter in a fun(and mostly obnoxious) way, but you don't really mean any of it. That is clearly not the case at all. Seems like you can't let go of your feud with 1 or 2 people and you're just being a general dick to the rest of the guild for no reason at all.

As for the footage to show people...Honestly there isn't much worth showing that doesn't seem completely unbalanced. HLD is a real shitfest, PT. :(

I disagree, completely - insomuch as I exclude many, if not most of the people currently posting on this thread. Which of course, represents a very, very small fraction of the entire pvp ladder.

Non-"T1" and non-meta build pvp matches are very interesting because they require the player to compensate for low(er) gear quality with improvisation. In other words, fun.

They're interesting to watch if you have an idea of how things work, sadly the general population of PoE require a 20 minute mathil video to understand basic concepts, so the idea of getting them to appreciate how you specced a lower tier build to be semi viable will be lost entirely on videos without commentary.
We should take this opportunity to try and convince the pve player base that we all exclusively play elemental hit.

The problem with commentary: who wants to do it?

So yes, I would agree - without commentary there's no context and many newer players might have difficulty understanding all that's going on.

However, I'd prefer not to explain everything I do to the general pvp community because frankly, I don't like most of you... and of course, the few wins I do get, I'd prefer to cherish them knowing that I caught a T1 guy unprepared.

That said, part of the fun of pvp is connecting with other burgeoning pvpers and collaborating. I learned more about Path of Exile through pvp than I ever did in pve. In my opinion, there's no better way to realize the potential or limitations of a build than when a human opponent adapts his/her play-style to stomp it in the dirt.

TIL Harley lacks any real reading comprehension skills. Here, I'll dumb it down for you. I don't give a fuck about the one or two people I had a problem with, I don't even think about them. NPC now seems to comprise of people built around exploits (notably anything done by Harley, which is then poorly replicated by others), regen/aegis tanks, and pathfinders. There's you guys like Ahfack and Myg- the good players (I'll even put girlcan in the skilled players group, for PoE at least), then there's the rest of the guild. I don't know why you get your cunt lips caught in such a twist about this.

Now, what you said about pvp being a shitfest, I'm inclined to agree, but A222 brought up a good point as well. I'd even extend what he says to point out that a lot of pve players seem to just wanna copypaste what all the k00l streamer bros are doing to win. Actalo is right too, mostly about budget builds that can compete (except for his block bitch build, fuck that guy), there would have to be a good amount of explanation of how the build is played, etc. I wouldn't want that info just out in the open for people to just know how to counter it, I'd rather they have to play just to find out.

I still don't know, though, if there's any type of videos this guy wants in regards to pvp. Does he want videos showcasing more of what we want in pvp, do we show him the true state of pvp? What's the deal?

Again, no ones hand was forced in building for lame-ness i.e whats displayed in Markuz's video(s). GGG put it in the game but you guys fucked up PvP by continuing to use it in this way.

Don't hate the player, hate the game. It's basic nature to pick an efficient and viable build, how come you hate on the people doing that? It's the developers' fault the most where we are at right now, because of ignoring balance. Since they aren't fixing it, only the players are left for you to hate, but you won't achieve anything by doing so. Try to adapt and make something viable if you want to play the game, or stay reasonable when stating opinions. You did point out broken things needing a fix correctly, but throwing insults on top of that just invalidates your comments.

Picking certain builds does not make you lame or abusive. Playing it griefing and dirty does. It's about player attitude, some people aren't satisfied by just killing players, they brag about their kill and humiliate people, or when they aren't able to take a death they need to compensate by insults and shittalking. These are the terrible things in PvP worth hating.

I am friendly with most people I meet, doesn't matter what build they or I play, how broken the builds are, or how big is the power difference, because with nice behaviour, we are able to have fun, and do fair matches.

Well, you understood THAT, so I guess I'm wrong.

Anyway, PVP communities are notorious for exactly what happens here on the forums more than in the arena. But my beginning experience with POE PVP was unusually friendly, which is part of the reason I stayed. I only noticed a general decline in friendly behavior when things started getting out of hand, when GGG stopped giving a shit.

And while you make some decent points, Marckuzsczcszkszcs, I think there IS some validity in disliking players along with the game, because it takes something, don't know what exactly, to continue to use skills we've all lambasted people for using, like Lib with EA. Like, we get it, you can wall-spam (but we'll defend against it with our Arctic Armor + aura buffs ;D ). But yea, I think there's a fine line between picking a good build, and picking a build that is just flat-out unfair. Not "broken", not "unbalanced", just unfair. I'd compare it to someone using some sort of script or hack, it's just not cool. You can't go with something that's unfair and expect people to just go "Oh okay, that's cool." Especially after it's been discussed, time after time, why it's unfair.

"doesn't matter what build they or I play, how broken the builds are, or how big is the power difference, because with nice behaviour, we are able to have fun, and do fair matches." Yea, no. I beg to differ lmao I mean you're right to an extent, but I just don't find uneven matches, especially the way they can be in POE, to be fun at all, regardless of how nice they are. Match might not be unpleasant, but it sure as shit isn't fun lol

So yea, what kind of videos do you want, PT?
