New uniques, let's discuss PvP! [HLD]

the chest seems like a big nerf to crit builds but actually it would only cause crit builds to stack more damage and use EO. still, im glad that we have such a chest in game. the idea looks very cool.

this chest has big downsides, you cant use that on CI, and if you use on a life build you' end up having 6-6.5k life max, this oesnt make big difference. -10MS is also a big downside.

It has several huge downsides though as you noted.

The helmet on the other hand is going to break PvP really hard.

I do enough damage, haha. Real PvP is about moving, picking your shots and making them count. Not making a LA frost wall build and whacking off.

Your wife,kid,dog,road kill you see on your way to work shouldn't be able to just hop on your character and net kills by holding down attack.

Im really hype to try stuff out with both of those items, but i find the chest slightly more interesting to be fair. What im thinking is:

1. Double the armour with ascednacy.
2. Pick up "Art of the Gladiator".

What you are now left with is the 30% Reduced block, which to me, seems like a very fair trade-off.
However im no expert.

I kinda disagree with that, sur you won't be able to reach 12k es+ but the virtual life gained by the removal of extra crit damage is worth at least 6k es in my opinion.

You can still reach high ES values with the right tree, discipline and a good shield/Helm combo.

I'm glad a REAL crit counter now exist but I can only see those uniques pushing the secondary damages meta further unfortunately. Still it's a step in the right direction.

It doesn't remove explicit movement penalties, I just tested with Queen of the forest.

The virtual life gained by that against crit is even higher than that, with high enough crit multi crits deal 2-3x the damage after pvp reduction, so with 12k ES you have a total virtual of 24-36k.

Still not a good swap for CI cus you become too vulnerable to everything non-crit, dots etc, so my best bet is still using deceiver and enfeeble, the chest is just too much of a stretch for a well rounded CI build.

one handed sword + aegis builds might make a comeback. this is also a good buff for RT as well.

i believe this chest hit spellcasters much since thye have like 600-650 crit multi
