Hey Umbra, just a piece of advice from you is all I want.
I currently have a perfectly rolled non-leg Soultaker.
I have gathered 39 ex in Legacy and I was wondering what is the bare minimum for a legacy Soul Taker to purchase.
There are some that I can buy but they are low rolls and I wonder if it is a good idea to spent my ex on them.
So my question is: what is the bare minimum for a good (legacy)soul taker in terms of dps? (the one I have gives 336 dps - perfect roll).
Sould I look for attack speed or damage first?
I know that the combination of both is the ideal choice but I don't have so many exalts.

only go legacy if you're long hauling this guy, this means he's best with mid-high to very-high rolls on every piece of gear minus flasks. Endgame means the end, don't settle unless it gains you overall. To be extremely blunt you don't want to go full elite unless you're rich because although he is a blast, he will never compete with those 1 shot boss killing farm builds and since he is very fun budget to mid priced the gains felt don't justify the 250ex to reach my gear power.

Endgame is pointless for poe unless you do it for other characters so still, not a great investment knowing memorizing shaper after 30 deaths is still far cheaper than counting on gear. I die 3-5x on shaper all the time meanwhile others deathless him 30ex gear

It's just I thought that in Legacy I would be able to get myself a leg Soul Taker ( I already have a well rolled leg BoR in std) and after opening 10-12 relic keys I mostly get trash and it's disappointing and frustrating.
If I don't get a mirror drop, I doubt I will be able to buy a soul taker such as yours.

For anyone in legacy league who wants to follow this build, yet struggles to find decent rare axe, i have mine for sell.
Sorry for this little off topic, but i know how hard it is to find one, since i had same problem for 2 weeks.

They are dual strikers, is what I mean. My thread top area has deathless Shaper kill ~25-30ex by Supporthotline. Not a budget build but he said a few pages back that his gear is not epic, just mid-ish. His axe was 20ex which is a good deal for some good axes.

Unless you hop on standard there is zero chance to get the gear you want to be as strong as me. Those axes don't drop and the way mine was made was via crafting, which was basically nerfed when Eternal Orbs were done away with. With enough money, you technically could get eternal orbs to craft but they are more expensive than heaven itself.

Honestly, you should just quit POE. It's a terrible game of grinding and empty, repetitive gameplay. You're better off quitting. As soon as you get what you want that character become boring/pointless to play or becomes a farmer only. There is simply no reward for endgame, that's why I continually give my epic gear away to others to have fun. They eventually give it back after 6-12 months when they quit, then I give it away to someone else

axe with range
both are about the same
range is cool for mobs if your dps is decent for melee splash to really work its magic
