Grats Chrono on 32/32! Very nice and with months to spare.

Grats also to Serleth on 28/32.

Good job guys!

Thanks =)

Taking a break over in Grim Dawn for now, might not do 32/32 this league. We'll see.

Will only take me about 3 days of farming to do it, and I have two months to go. So, no rush.

TY hank! Wouldn't be possible without Serleth here, but I need a break now from PoE. You're at 28 yourself quite soon too, I see! How is Bladefall totem MF? and that 6L Quill is ofcourse nothing to hide hehe^^

I just hope that we don't get fixed nerfed for 2.2 aka Ascendancy, else the search for another kind of MF begins again!

Ser what are you missing for 32? I got quite a few pieces that might boost you, if your time is limited (or you play Grim Dawn too much by accident ^^)

Appolagies if its been listed before, but I didn't want to read through 267 pages, and I didn't see it in the FAQ.

Why not use Perandus blazon?

What stats do you aim for on jewels?

S'all good buddy.

No perandus because resistances are next to impossible to get capped without a tri res belt. You would have to sacrifice a damage roll on your jewels to get it done, and this build is about balancing dps, survival, and MF.

8% quant isn't worth the effort it would take to get functional. Running that belt and keeping res capped while maintaining 4.8k+ life and similar damage would REQUIRE level 100.

As for the rolls on jewels

Life, resistance, damage rolls. Resistance will be your priority, most likely. Damage that impacts this build: DoT, Chaos, Projectile, Area, Global.

Unid rigwald (Command, Savagery), Zana 8, id the new uniques, and one of the T2 Tali bosses.

Looking at about 7ex for Riggy, and another 5 or so for the new uniques. Need the expensive ones still (Repentance, Aylardex, Allure, Hezmanas).

Bladefall MF is good, but not as good as CA. The drawbacks to BF MF are:
* You lose quite a lot of DPS by using an Item Rarity gem in your 6-link. With 21 Bladefall this would be acceptable, but right now I've only got a 19 BF, so I've opted not to use Item Rarity in my 6-link for now.

* It's much more of a pain to get resistances capped and run MF than CA, until you can 6-link an Astral Plate or some such nice chest armor. I'm using a Tabula Rasa now so my skill tree is a bit messed up, taking all sorts of resist nodes and my jewels are dedicated to resistances.

But Bladefall is really OP otherwise. I'm going to be farming high level maps for the 80 Rigwald kill and dropping most of my magic find - just concentrating on maintaining the map pool and probably getting a few more levels on my BF character. I'm probably going to go Righteous Fire (60% more damage eventually) and I'll be using a pair of Repentance gloves (gives you Iron Will so you basically are running a 7-link at that point). At that point, I'm pretty sure I'll be able to do all the content required for the challenges with my Bladefall character.

Just don't expect Bladefall to keep its current power level for Ascendency.

Yeah, it's getting the hammer for sure, LOL.

It turns out that a lot of the new skills are just stupidly OP.

Essence Drain, Bladefall, and Blade Vortex (low life or Fakener) are all just ridiculous.

Not to mention they've left Vaal Spark super OP too.
==========
Just for total OP silliness, I may run Righteous Fire, Dual Totem IW Bladefall with Repentance gloves in a Soul Mantle.

That's one extra link (free IW) from Repentance, another extra link (free spell totem) from Soul Mantle, 50% more damage from an additional totem from Soul Mantle, 60% more damage from Righteous Fire... all this on an effective 8-link. The support gem selection for Bladefall is such that most of those gems are more multipliers.

With this build, you'll turn all monsters you face into a red mist.

Vaal Spark is confirmed to be getting adjusted, they're just trying to figure out a way to do it that keeps it interesting and worthwhile to play.

It's weird though for sure, normally they err on the side of caution with skill balance. UP first, buff later. This league's an abberation, and then they have to balance around Ascendency classes, too.

I'm just hoping the inevitable nerfs aren't debilitating, and that (as Chrono pointed out) CA doesn't get a second hit to compensate for the Ascendency classes.

Otherwise, like he said, we'll have to look for a new skill.

(I already have one planned, by the way, but we'll have to see what happens with chaos damage in general for 2.2).

Edit to your edit: how would you go about dealing with the curse business from Soul Mantle?

Couple of choices...

1) Remove them (get a bunch of "of Warding" flasks); or
2) Turn them into another DPS boost, using Self-Flagellation and Thieve's Torment or dual Kikazaru (mana regen on these will help a lot due to the 8-link) - for this option you'd still want to remove particularly dangerous combinations of curses if you are taking damage.

Not sure which route I'll go... and this will probably be another month or so to come to fruition since I want to 6-link my Astral Plate and complete the Challenges.
Can you give me tips why I feel so squishy still and my damage is not that high or doesnt feel that high...when i do t7+ maps, it takes a lot of time for my CA to drop bosses and some yellows.

I also feel like im always about to die....i got 4k life right now and capped resists. Some stuff including lightning and chaos damage just destroys me so fast its not funny. I can usually barely susrvive by spamming pots.

How do I link my gear?

Also, I dont get the point of vaal lightning trap? Was there a hidden purpose to it that I am missing? Ill usually drop some on boxes before clicking them but it seems to do very little
