GGGs reasoning on not making a SFL?

SFL proponents think RMT wouldnt be as bad if people bought accounts there, as they want a SF ladder, people who love to e brag would love to link OP uniques and mirrors and eternals in chat all day, the SFL people wouldnt even get suspicious i guess. Then SFL people would make threads like "ban accounts from people who link a stack of mirrors". SF HC and SC. Turn off trade chat. Ignore ladder position. Done. |

so i think GGG's biggest problem with a selffound league is that it would split up the community even more than now between 4 leagues and not change much for the players, since everyone can play selffound in other current modes anyway! only without others people knowing it... so why not change this!
make the self-found players visible!!! add something like a special note in the ladder for a player who plays selffound: - this means they have never joined a party or traded with someone before - when people dont want to play this style anymore they can just disable the selffound mode and join parties - it should look something like this on the ladder: Rank | Account | Character | Class | Level | Experience 1 | "accountname" | "charactername(SELFFOUNDPLAYER)" | Ranger | 100 | 4250334444 i think another league would harm the game more than help, although i get the point why people dont like all the trading and party stuff ign: ALLRAUDER

" They never said it is their problem with SFL. What they did say is that no trade / BoA / similar SF related mechanics are of no interest to them, that's quite a huge difference. To say it in other words, it's not "we do care and would like it, but we can't do it because that would split up the community", it's more "we don't care". My Statement to SFL. 2 Choices at the Beginning, so i will Split them Up, and give my "2 Cents" about em. 1. Permanent SFL (Like SC & HC) Goal for all Player? - Who is the first to reach LeveL 100. (Maybe the 2nd and 3rd or Top XX) - Wich Build (include the Items they Dropped) was the "best" to Get 100. Problems i see? - If the only Goal is over/done why it is worth to climb the Ladder when i have no Chance to Reach the Top. (My own personall Taste) - League gets less and less Active, because the Goal for all Players are not there anymore. (Allready XX amount of Player Top Ranked) 2. Short Duration SFL (1-4 Month) Goals for all Player? - How far can i go with my Build, like in all 4 Month. - Who is the Top Placed Player in the End of the 1-4 Month. Problems i see? - Personally, If Trading is there or not, wont care me personally hard, but some do. - BUT atleast its a ONLINE Game and a 1-4 Month i cant play with my Friends will be for me a 100% PoE Break or a Back Paddling in the Permanent League. - The "Who can spend more Time or abuse Skill XX the best to Reach first Level xx" istn interessting enough to Stick here. So, for me personally, there isnt a Long Time Motivation after all. I like to Beat Things in PoE Solo, but i also like to Team up for Content/Farming. SFL will cut out all "Support" Builds. No Need for them more, so less Builds after all. SFL will cut out all "Culler" Builds. Less Dps and needing Ages to Kill Stuff even when i have good chuck of MF. Less Builds here too. SFL will cout out the possibility to "Farm" Up and try out Someday the "Expensive Build i allways wanna try, when i just Rich enough" Less Builds again. Im allready bored to see the same Builds over and over again. Searing Bond with or w/o Blast Ele Buzzsaw RF Budget Arc Spectral Ez Mode I allready dont like the "this gem just Halps for Leveling, so its Powerfull early on and Sucks later" (Dont get me Wrong here, not all gems should be the same, but i think every Active Skill should be End Game viable in the one or other way, sadly only a few of all Actives fits) So after all, i dont like the Idea about SFL. Its not that i dont Like SFL at all, then as the most would say here "Dont play it then". Yeah that would be fine for me... BUT As a HC only Player, i have allready a Problem to find Buddys/ppls in my Permanent League. (Only 1% of Playerbase plays active HC *official Number*) So for me personally, it will hurt me more, even when i avoid SFL and dont play it, and dont help me. I think GGG need to make the Permanent Leagues we currently have more Atractive and THEN, we can talk about a New Permanent League Mode. But i hope you guys will have someday the chance to play a SFL in the one or Other Way. Light |

SFL = nonsense league
trade disabled, party allowed, players start trading dropping items on ground trade disabled, party blocked, very few would play it, making it a developing loss of time. ♦▲◄▼►▲♦

SFL has sense only if in SOLO mode, but still has no sense in a "productive, video game developing" way, unless somebody proves that a fat part of the players is devoted to SFL. i don't remember where but once i've eared Chris saying that 50% of the players played new leagues, and 50% played standard. if that is true, how much of that 50% of standard players would actually play foreveralone for the sake of +x base Item Rarity? edit:
