1.0.1 Patch Notes
" or you are a self find player, or you dont play for hours, or you dont want to trade because trading is broken and full of smartasses that think you are stupid, or you just watched the Build of the Week video and wanted to follow GGG suggestion and now your build is broken. Saying the nerf was ok because its easy to get a new Enduring Cry is a very weak argument. The CODT nerf process was pretty badly handled. |

If this is your idea on balancing CWDT, then it's pretty bad. I like the idea of taking the damage out of pre-mitigation (block, etc). That might make this not as bad. But I believe this really screws a lot of melee people and forces them back into range. I thought this gem was to help melee with defenses? Perhaps you can change what gems it can support and make those gems defensive type skills (MC, EC, IC, etc) and not heavy damagers? Is it damage as to why this was nerfed?
I loved the options with creating your own procs and balancing melee vs range, but now, it's almost worthless. I hate that I dropped $50 not long ago on this game, as I'm not sure I'm excited to play my tank templar now. I'm sure I'm not the only one, especially with all the new players. We've all played these types of games and it wears you out. Developer puts in cool skills/item that people optimize, then it gets nerfed. You find a new thing, it gets nerfed. The nerf circle gets old, and very fast. It's worth for PoE because of the time needed to invest in leveling and gearing up compared to other ARPG's and RPGs. This is the type of change to push those thousands of users that hopped on for release, away. They aren't quite completely sold and this could scare them off. TL;DR: If you want to change it, make it useful as least. Change like this on nerf cycle scare away new players and even old in some cases. |

" Buy them second time!? Who would buy 4L normal items for 1 alc (cost of Enduring Cry, Molten Shell, etc for me)? Thanks for "help"... Last edited by Dark_Fiend#3399 on Nov 12, 2013, 9:21:22 AM

It was finally nice to know that the release of PoE meant the return of Solo being able to be competitive, after all this time partying was completely broken. But it seems you want to nerf solo again, and this CoDT nerf is rather ridiculous and affects solo players the most and casual players too.

" GGG really likes M:TG, and there are a lot of triggers in that game. Sadly, we all got stifled. Deutscher Chat: /global 4745

Awesome, there's a lot of changes that I thought the game needed.

" I'm entirely a self-found player sans some occasional shop sales or my Carcass Jack (which I still haven't used.) I have almost 6 stash tabs of gems full of gems I've found myself. The nerf is okay because the Discharge Build was entirely freaking broken. It wasn't even a "build" it was a bot, you could enter an area and not do anything but move. If you thought that was fair or right and you're praising your ability to be "self-found" there's bigger issues afoot. Build of the Week highlights CREATIVITY and says "hey this is something cool our players did with our systems", its not a GUIDELINE and there's no guarantee those builds will survive patches. If anything build of the week builds are MORE LIKELY to be nerfed than others because of the amount of attention they get. I have no pity for bandwagon players. This nerf hit me as a defensive user of it that was completely unrelated to that build but I'm moving on just fine. |

" this i play mele and u make me quit i played range it was boring mele started to be cool less desync with auto casts nwo usles RIP ggg |

If any of you solely relied on CoDT for survival then that's pretty bad.

To make the CwdT nerf slightly more bearable I guess I can just get rid of all the armor/evasion nodes I have and spent them on hp nodes instead. When I get to like 6.4k hp(more with kaom's if I ever get it)the 2.5k damage taken requirement won't be such a big deal and it will still allow me to make use of molten shell.
