Well after reading the previous large update on 11.0 I wasn't excited and there are still elements (special league items) I'm not particularly fond of. After reading these patche notes though I feel a bit better for the coming update and look forward to it. I think the balance and passive changes will be interesting and some of them seem to overall positively affect some of my builds. I just hope the game is still challenging. I was doing a new experimental build I'd just started which just died at 52 and while it sucked I like that people can die when they're distracted (thanks global chat!). For whatever reason I find myself stuck to hardcore and don't want it to be too easy. Not sure if I'll be playing in the Onslaught league or not though... I do have one more new build I've made which would be a good time to give it a whirl although it's a Shavronne's build which is terribly difficult to find (atleast it's not one of the removed items I suppose). Thanks for the update, looking forward to further updates and the patch itself!

In theory you could chain Ruby flasks, since having 4 perpetual rubies allows you to easily kill fast enough to refill them. Personally I think that would be a real pita, but then I do it with granites on all my CI melee characters, so maybe it isnt so bad.
A) I'd rather not go back to the ups and downs of flasking between mob packs
B) If I use flasks between mobs, I won't have them during flasks
C) The damage is now miserable:
- No Kaoms = a base life of 1000~1500
- With a rough 300% life nodes that amounts to 6000 max life tops in a good day.
- That would ONLY be 3000 fire damage (before ele resist)
- 6000 life, and 3k dps is now unatainable due to life node ner
- seeing an optimistical range of 4000-5000 max life, 2500 is just absolute shit
D) Just No.
All of it fucking sucks and is absolutely worthless garbage.

Don't forgot you will have less life, it's mean less life consumed by RF ;)
I have made my own calcul for my Dual Spark and it will still work after this patch.
The only unknown is the ES nodes nerf for me.
If it's a total of 500 it will be tricky but if it's 200 or 300 it should be acceptable.
For a life based build, the amount of health you have is irrelevant to sustaining the burn. It is going to burn for 100% of your HP no matter how much you have, regen and resists scale with any amount of HP you have. The problem is we no longer have enough resistances to counter the burn damage even with every life regen node from the tree + vitality + inner force.

You obviously don't know what you're doing.
You won't have any less life, Low-Life ES builds took ABSO-FREAKING-LUTELY NO LIFE NODES WHATSOEVER.
Base health has not been nerfed.
Your base health will be the same
You'll degen for the same amount of as damage as before.
Except you have shittier Elemental Resistances
And a smaller ES pool
And less ES regen per second
So No.

Two of my characters are getting nerfed pretty bad, but I welcome the changes since I can admit they were OP as hell lol. OH NO I MIGHT BE FORCED TO TRY OUT NEW BUILDS WHAT WILL I DO!?!?
