PoE2 has very few viable builds, why are patch notes nothing but nerfs?

They already did. Had to change all my league start plans and rebuild the entire thing. I got a little annoyed at first but got over it. I recommend you do the same rather than throwing a tantrum for no reason. I was being civil with you, your aggression seems unwarranted.

There’s nothing civil about making claims that are wrong. Both the interactions you referenced aren’t even in the same realm. This change killed THOUSANDS OF BUILDS. Not one or two.

In the history of Poe and Poe2 there has never been a nerf like this until this. If you can’t understand that you got no hope in seeing the truth. That’s my point children.

Also for whatever reasons, GGG decided that your 100-man guild's version of "fun builds" were a negative aspect to include within the game.

It doesn't really matter what their reasons are. Maybe it was unfair to all the 99-man guilds who had fun with other builds.

Even if it really was a "loss of 1000 builds" caused by an upstream oversight due to their lack of an in-house John Nash with time to obsessively derive a mathematically optimal balance adjustment to solve whatever they were trying to solve, it's not the last patch they'll ever do.

Surprised you haven't shorted out your calculator with tears from all the crying I've seen about it.

You should probably at least wait to try the patch out before defending a "sky is fallen" claim with "I have a high IQ and am good at math" reasoning because I would bet there's a significant mathematical probability you're going to be able to have fun with the rest of us, despite your graduate level mathematical proof regarding how the game is "absolutely ruined" for you and apparently your entire guild.

Also to have above average iq you’d need to understand correlation and be able to think multiple steps of cause and effect. People that can do that can usually actually give reasons backed by more than feelings, they give reasons backed by this thing called data/facts.

And that thousands of builds was only concerning the lost scaling of grips allies mods. Not all allies mods scaling lost.

Just fyi the only thing I know of that got nerfed harder than grips was bhaitair’s, from the same exact nerf as grips. Wow. Too bad you guys didn’t want to use that as an example.

Here's a fact: I don't agree with every balance adjustment that's been made in PoE2 or PoE1 over the last decade but I've still managed to enjoy every single patch I've played and they are far away my favourite two games of all time, and I've been gaming a while.

No one is arguing your math or against your logic, they're arguing the necessity of it.

This is because measuring the enjoyment (or whatever you call it) of one's personal experience in a video game using math - especially when discussing it's potentiality on a patch you haven't even played yet in such certain terms - is the kind of mistake only a "high-iq intellectual" could make.

You're getting eye-rolls from people who've heard the "Nothing is good/Everything is worse because of X and I've done the big-brain math, trust me" argument from multiple people every single league patch for the last 13 years, and yet, here we are, still having fun.

Yeah yeah, thousands of builds were destroyed, game will never be good again and so on.
