PoE2 has very few viable builds, why are patch notes nothing but nerfs?
" Yeah, that seems to sum it up. |

" First of all everyone is not one person you know? Youre not the main character. It's impossible for you to point out any flaw in what ive said because you have not engaged with it, youve only repeatedly attacked a strawman till the end. " Why would anyone seriously engage with you rambling and talking to yourself, when you are not engaging with anything anyone else says, you even admitted to not read what others are saying and it shows. Your responses are not addressing anything ive been saying, there is also absolutely no substance, no specifics, just endless sophistry. Nobody here can relate to what youre talking about because nobody is interested in your style of gameplay, and the way you engage with others only give impression that your prefered niche playstyle brings no value to the game and doesnt need to be supported. Youve got severe lack of self-awareness and out of touch with an average player. And i dont know why you think a most normie streamer would look favourably to what you say, he'd have no clue what youre talking about or be able to relate to your experience. You undermined whatever point you had by your inability to understand or engage with what others were saying. Last edited by Frozendare#3622 on May 28, 2026, 10:33:55 PM

At this point I'm just waiting for the bold red letters to appear.

" Keep waiting. I know something you don’t because of how my current posts are being dealt with moderator wise. Clearly someone wants to hear my points. Otherwise you are correct, probation or ban would have happened already. “In all the realms of heaven and in all the realms of hell, I alone am heralded as the honored one, who am I?”

" The reality is it’s going to play out and someone will end up being right, someone will end up being wrong. It is what it is. It doesn’t mean the idea was bad on their part, it just means they didn’t have enough time to account for the problems the change would create. No one has infinite time. “In all the realms of heaven and in all the realms of hell, I alone am heralded as the honored one, who am I?”

So, to summarize:
1. A patch note dumpstered 1000's of potential group-play builds / significantly narrowed the overall group-play build landscape, which was being propped up by a singular unique ring. 2. We are all too low-iq to appreciate the absolute monstrous magnitude of the nerf both mathematically and in terms of it's downstream effects it will have on.... the league economy, or the direction of the game in general for all future patches, or something. But mark your words... it will have C O N S E Q U E N C E S.... 3. You think the adjustment was made mostly with "bringing up" minion build power, however, the disproportionately negative magnitude which it has brought many group-play capabilities down in both power and variety signals to you that it could be a massive collateral-damage oversight. At the very least, you think it is too heavy-handed of an adjustment. 4. The "destroy their IP" aspect is based on the idea that an oversight like this signals carelessness or an incorrect frame of reference through which to conceptualize the necessary corrections or future adjustments and risks other cascadingly-catastrophic eliminations of build/playstyle potentiality. Just want to make sure I followed. Please feel free to clarify for my small pea-brain on any of those points if they don't capture the sentiment of your musings. I still don't necessarily agree with you on it all - but it would likely boil down to different perspectives related to fundamentals regarding why either of us play the game at all, and we'd end up needing to agree to disagree with each other which I can live with. Your point of view does matter, and has some validity. But it is not the only one that matters, or with validity. I think I and others would have been more amenable to having discussion around your ideas if you didn't try to hover in above everyone on a "I know math and you are all dumb"-powered pedestal while dismissing everyone who didn't immediately worship or appreciate your idea as not being able to understand it out of stupidity. Regardless, I sincerely hope you and everyone in here still enjoys the patch. We're all here to enjoy the game - in our own ways. It's part of what makes this game great. There is no need to attack each other. Go make something that gets nerfed in 1.0 lol
Spoiler
If the answer to that riddle is "the square root of negative one" or something Euler equation related... are you a math professor at a uni in Canada? It reminds me of one I used to have years ago - esoteric math-snob riddles were his "thing" and this reminded me of his style.
Who am I to say anything, I don't respect my time either.

" 1. A single patch note of allies scaling nerf did infact disable thousands of group builds that is true. 2. It’s not that you are too low IQ, it’s that you don’t care. Which I’ll explain again, the opposite of love is not hatred it is indifference. The neato part of me predicting this will cause market problems, grouping problems, end game problems, farming problems, as well as generally make the game less “fun” is that we get to find out together over the coming weeks! 3. No. What I am saying is that it is measurable that these are the only outcomes A) the game is tuned way too easy and it becomes cupcake simulator. B) the game is overtuned and 1-2 group compositions are going to be the only true viable farming strategies due to difficulty requirements The reason these are the outcomes is because if they needed to kill allies scaling that hard to bring minions up it means minions “should” be overpowered for endgame content. However, minions are now the least efficient to draft into a group composition. 4. Yes, when you kill thousands of builds and an entire way to engage with your game you have destroyed part of your IP, how is this even debatable? P.S. still waiting for you to tell me a bigger nerf than 500%, I didn’t even tell you guys about bhatair’s 1000%+ nerf because I figured, hey maybe one of them will actually reference that and it’ll literally help prove my point. But I expected too much from yall. If you are going to keep responding to me try actually reading and thinking instead of reading to react. You are genuinely a bore. I thank you for allowing me to assemble a more complete argument thanks to your lack of comprehension. Still waiting for you to name a comparable nerf in the history of poe1 or poe2, how many years poe1 been out? What season they on bro? Good talk. Also, since you trolled me over my riddle, how about you show us a home brew riddle of your creation. Can’t be too hard for someone so high IQ. Ah yes, the square root of zero. Oh I see? You use the Roots hint and thought it was mathematical. Cute but wrong. Not even in the right universe but a guess is a guess. I did tell you the Roots hint was a riddle of equal intellectual requirement to understand. It’s only a hint if you compare the sentence and the question long enough. How long is long enough? I’m not sure, no one’s done it yet. As the person who wrote it, if you asked me it before I rationalized it, it wouldn’t have taken me all that much thought. I probably would have guessed wrong a few times, I’ll admit that. Hey here’s a new point I’d like to add, the first group that finds a non exploit but overpowered farming method that will get patched, should that happen, will actually have a more insane lead than they did with temple because other groups won’t be able to compensate build diversity and will get out priced and farmed all season long. So one farming exploit and whoever discovered it ends up more ahead than the Holten tech. Neato. Again thank you for helping me improve my argument, vastly appreciated. Let’s hope no one finds a “bug” that results in broken farming and it ends up being patched and now there’s a hyper small segment of the player base with a majority of the early season control. Because if that happens and the players who do it can farm long enough, you got no shot catching up. You had a better shot catching up to Holten exploiters. But hey, what the hell do I know. I already know about shrike island secret quest brother. Ima just do that while you all race each other. I’ll be the turtle in the back. Maybe I’ll explain some of what to do, maybe I won’t. Still undecided. I guess by posting this paragraph I have done you a service just telling you it exists. Though my post history would show I’ve been telling you that since shrike island dropped. Anyone else see any posts about it anywhere from anyone but me? Hold up let me check real quick… Won’t let me post image, search secret quest in early access discussion. Gl have fun. You are right, after reading your edited response I have been too driven on my view of things but mathematically it’s more insane than you are really recognizing as well. I could be wrong and it could just turn into the new normal but long term that normal is such a radically different approach to the same game. The entire design of the game changed with that nerf in a way that most people will grow to realize. But that is the way of things. If everyone had foresight it wouldn’t be called foresight. Let me be clear, I’m sure it’ll be “good” for the average player experience this season. Because the average player probably won’t notice any problems unless they are actually pushing in end game for farming. And I also understand that this allies scaling nerf was to get people to play more solo content. So is the breach update and other content in .5. Which is good for solo players. Anyway groups already got sent to the hoser this patch from multiple perspectives if we are honest. It’s just what it is. You’ll team up for temples what else? Maybe regular mapping, probably not tho because of the changes it’s more efficient to do your own maps solo. I wonder if basically making group play not incentivized to the degree solo is good for the purposes of everyone rushes to their temple solo so they can run 6 back to back will be rewarding and fulfilling for players to do. Replace temple with any applicable content btw, welcome to meta mapping group style, are solos gonna get outfarmed? Yep. By solo groupers 😂😭 lol. I guess by turning it into “your inefficient for not grouping up to do this content” it does offer some leverage over the average player, for solo groupers, which actually is an interesting concept because you are forcing them all to have to function at a decent level solo to be the highest tier group farm. Meta will probably be groups of 2 with rarity bot and dps. Or you’ll be making a group of 6 rarity bots that solo. Who knows this shits wild. Ritualist still eats as top. I distinctly remember you telling me this change deincentivized having 6 of the same class. Turns out that was a lie. All I’m saying at this point is that this patch will have an interesting but insane future for any grouping dynamic. The average player probably ain’t making it into too many efficient by any degree group farms. “In all the realms of heaven and in all the realms of hell, I alone am heralded as the honored one, who am I?” Last edited by Lore#3772 on May 29, 2026, 7:21:04 PM
