there's no +5 all attack anymore, about +3 you don't even care on attacker since it's very low dmg inc

yes +3 to all attack skills. thats extremely powerful. are you implying an alloy will give more than +3 to all your damage skills???

no matter what you want to list as the most powerful be it damage as extra essence of battle etc whatever that is for your build it nullifies every other crafted modifier in the game.

so pob will say this 1 item is the best and now the hundreds of other items are useless. thats just bad game design.

every league they add items to the game that will either nullify every item before it, or the old item will nullify all the new content.

The Craft change is one of the best things they ever had in this game, it will make everything more unpredictble, crafting was too easy; it was too easy to get a perfect weapon. People only want easy things; they don't like difficulty. And now they'll cry because they won't be able to get their perfect weapons with zero difficulty.

Counterpoint for discussion: RNG should always become deterministic with enough grinding that a majority of players can reach it before the end of the league.

For me "perfect gear" is an average of Lv. 50+ on all the modifiers (minimum rolls using a Perfect Exalted Orb) assuming each modifier is desired. Thats good enough for Lv. 90 characters to (barely) complete the weakest versions of pinacle content. Reaching that point should be borderline guaranteed by 120 hours on a character (1 hour per day for a 4 month league).

I am super naturally unlucky, so perhaps that gear is no where near as good as what you mean by perfect. But as it stands, I hope that whatever systems they implement help cursed souls like mine be less tortured trying to hit that threshold.
deterministic crafting was kind of to easy, makes gear u find of the ground shit 99% of the time cuz u will just craft instead
After reading the crafting change yesterday and having a sleep to think about it, I welcome the change.

I was thinking back to my gear progression this league and the reality was I crafted my weapon early on day 2 for me (I forget how many hours that was for me) that I ended up using for ages and was easily able to clear all content of the game with, and this craft was completely deterministic. Yes there are much better weapons that can be crafted than what I had crafted, but because I was able to clear literally everything, there was little motivation to try and craft or find an upgrade.

Since then I have done several SSF runs through to level 95 and each time it was just follow the same recipe to get the same weapon mods with a full deterministic craft. It takes a little longer in SSF, but I was generally able to craft that weapon within 20-25 hours or so depending on drop luck.

My point is when I stopped and thought about it for a bit, I realised that getting a sufficient weapon to clear all content is currently too easy and it is literally just a cookie cutter recipe that is completely deterministic and can be done early and cheap. Yes these weapons aren't mirror weapons or even close, but they are sufficient to basically set and forget unless you want to min max, and I think I prefer the idea that this is harder to achieve than it currently is.

Just my thoughts, but we will see how it plays out I guess.
Yup. Worst change so far. Can't even use the recombinator either to guarantee at least 3 mods. The league mechanic crafting system better make up for this otherwise it's 0.1 & 0.2 all over again.

you realize most items will still be 100% deterministic right?

the new BIS amulets only have 4 modifiers. that means fracture first mod, chaos spam the second then use perfect essence and lastly desecrate.

so if we can still do that on most items, people just dont understand why you would remove the last step for crafting weapons. especially since that step makes all the new items unusable since you can only choose 1 crafted modifier.
So much drama without even knowing what new ways of crafting are to be added to the game. Touch some grass folks

we do know. its the alloy modifiers and the runeforging and the legacy runes.

but they removed recombinators and limited items to 1 crafted modifier meaning you can only use 1 out of all the crafted modifiers. therefore it doesnt matter what you add since you either wont be able to use the old stuff, or you wont be able to use the new stuff. thats how a limit works.

That was exactly the devs point as to why they made this change.

I'm not sure I see your point. You have 8+ diffrent gear items to craft, that's 8 of the same or 8 diffrent new/old modifiers you can use. Now I know some build use less gear, and some use more, that's just an average.

My point being that you won't only get to use only 1 crafted modifier on your build. So it still matters what you get. You are also not taking into account that more then most likely people will find powerful combinations of these modifiers to use on a build that will make it far better then what we could make in 0.4.0.

None of us know yet. Try chilling out and looking at the big picture. The point is to put all these mechanics together after all, not just use one for an entire build.
