So you add hundreds of runes to craft and then limit them to one per item? Nice idea.
Maybe limit our passive tree to 1 notable and 1 keystone at a time?
Why not limit our skills to 1 support gem?


they did limit us to 1 support on skill at one point, then they changed because of our backlash and they added the lineage gems.

i can see this 1 craft being changed i bit somehow.

"Game hard" lol People go from 0 to tier 15 maps in 5-6 hours. Its not hard its that you are bad and you don't wanan improve thats a big difference. Because you have proof that its not hard.

Also crafting was so deterministic and easy that you could craft almost perfect weapons with ease, with currency that you could farm in few hours, that is not "few good choices" that is few bad choices or something.

I dunno, guess that you and a lot of this crybabies want the game that is not a game but walking simulator. Literally if GGG nerf anything, it could be you get 1k gold from monster to 900 you would already start crying. Why you even play the game if you don't wanna have any challenge?
My idea to fix this.

Why not have prefix essence's and suffix essence's

Then the item can only have 1 prefix essence and 1 suffix essence.

You can also then have a desecration.

This will let you craft at least 3 mods you want but if you find a magic item with the mods you want you can make a 5 mod item with the last mod needing a slam.

If that too much crafting for GGG then you can make the prefix and suffix essence only work on white and blue items.

So basically you end up with a blue item that has the 2 essences on it and you craft the desecration giving you 3 guaranteed mods which then leaves you having to slam 3.
Did the "Freeze scene" bug got fixed?

That's not true in SSF. You still have a lot of RNG, you still need to hit proper mods. GG crafts are not 100% deterministic, you lack the resources SSF to do so, you only get few tries, assuming you don't play 1000 hours. For example I never hit a good fracture last league.

Lies. SSF allmost as easy as trade league. White bases of needed slot - trans/aug till 2 needed affixes - perfect essence - desecration = semi deterministic 4 good affixes. Its enough to get to 95 and finish all the activities. + Uniques +Gambling +Occasinal good drops.

With amount of power creeping this league brings this change can prolong it for few days. I hope.
Essence nerf so disappointing, please revert.

Otherwise I guess we are all hollow palming and face breaking this league xD

Well, thinking about it a bit more, I think we'll have to wait and see how the crafting cap feels. It's true that I already knew what my mid-to-endgame weapon was going to be like since patch 0.5 was announced, and that's pretty boring when you think about it. Maybe this will increase the value of unique items that don't have skill bonuses. We'll see at the start of the league. For now, I'll go with a caster, and they don't suffer as much as a ranged build from the lack of skill levels and weapon damage, because I can do without weapon damage, at least in the mid-game.

GGG, please ignore those whiners & doomers. All they want is meaningless gameplay and item progression so they can beat the endgame in 2-3 days.

@whiners, it's clear to everyone but you (apparently:D) that multiple-essence crafting was too strong and needed to be addressed. Having access to insanely strong items at such a low cost was ridiculous.

Stick to the vision GGG, poe2 is the best arpg out there.

Fully agreed. 0.5 is more exciting for me than ever.

For you whiners out there. Imo, this change will:
- Nerf crafted rare items.
- Make uniques more valuable.
- Increase values of dropped rare items.
- Nerf player's power overall (without considering the new options in 0.5.0)

Imo these are good changes and vision for the game. Unique and rare drops should be more valuable, I dont think 99% of the drops are trash as they are now is the way to go. It has been like that for too long, and it's time to change.
Also personally, I think a good drop feels much better than a good craft. Many people prefer deterministic crafting, while many others like RNG and randomness in their games. Before crafting was too strong for drops to ever be able to surpass, now it has more chances this way.
About the player's power nerf, we dont know in full what 0.5.0 will bring yet, and even if it's nothing much, I still prefer nerfs over buffs. Game is not that hard. If you say its hard for casual players/newcomers, they don't engage much with crafting anyway. This limitation in crafting will also allow them to craft easier.
Take in mind that this is just 0.5.0, they will make more changes following that vision so it'll get better. E.g. all rare items are dropped identified. Or reduce rare items drop amount but increase their affix tiers on high item level. For player's power, they can buff the values for all affix tiers (maybe nerf + level a bit more) if the stats show that we've become too weak with this crafting nerf. So many possibilities. So relax and enjoy the game or skip this league, kids.
