I would think adding another melee class before 1.0 release would help. More feedback the better to fix melee.

The biggest issue with melee is that warrior is all we have right now if you historically play bottom left. I have the feeling that axes aren't coming in 1.0 either.
Projectile filled, speedy, explody builds create hype. That's probably easier to do with builds on the projectile/speed side of the tree. Appears to be more of a marketing strategy thing than a "this will make the game more fun" type of thing. GGG used to do things for the latter. Now that shield wall exists they need to just make the other warrior skills better, seeing clips of that and then seeing how they did earthshatter is a bit sad. |

Did you know that axes arent fully melee btw? They will have a bunch of projectile skills where you throw the axe. :)
And regarding Earthshatter/ Shield wall. What youre saying here just shows that you havent even really played maces, like most people on the forums who shit on it constantly. It is actually quite good, very similar to shield wall with even better single target damage. If you dont believe me, Carn did a fresh start run with it just a few days ago if you need proof. |

" The range and true melee arguments dont go anywhere they are a waste of time, and constantly have goal posts added every time they are shown otherwise. Not really an eachother thing, and more just rage bait. My thing with melee is, sure some animations can be cleaned up a bit. More fluid motion maybe a flourish into the next attack rather than stop and go hit skills, like warrior with is now. Good example: Less like EQ and more like Rolling slam. They did a good job with rolling. It just gets stuck on terrain a bunch ... and also it cant hit bosses with conc area on/its really difficult if you try (Zar wal EEEEE, Colossus etc...) Kind of like.... a dynasty warriors feeling? Just without its rediuclousness obviously. Where you are constantly moving with your feet and your weapon is in motion. And you use the weapons momentum to carry you around since its a giant ass hammer. Just like rolling slam! Really is a minor issue I have, again they can work on other things, but that would make it "feel" a bit more better I suppose. Mash the clean

" Please there is definitely enough footage you can share were we can reach similar dps or speed numbers as other builds or are you just referring to early game speed runners and others dominating some ladders, while CoC spellcasters every league look down on poor warriors for not being able to be tankier nor deal more damage or being as fast? Or even better, all three together. :) I have problems finding something that would show me something like that. I am aware of several sites which normally provide such infos, but maybe such an experienced being like you who clearly have more clue as anyone else could provide also sources and not just "believe me bro" comments?
