Give Solo Players a Fair Chance

Err... yeah, 'brother'. If you have someone with you who isn't getting a fair cut of the drops then of course you would make more.
However in an actual party, where the members actually split the loot, drops already don't add up to what each person would have gotten had they run the same content solo. |

One easy way to solve this issue would be to have the option to use AI bots, in a way on Path of Exile 1 this kinda is possible with AG. I wouldn't mind to run 6 AG like bots if they had a flag to count as players. Could become a really fun experience...

SSF characters can be migrated. player x command would only work if they introduced a specific game mode where migration is strictly disabled.

Also I want to add something to thread, its all about knowledge.

" lol " Yup, temple took it too far. But let`s be honest, there is no chance to balance solo vs group play and i wonder whether it should be balanced. It`s multiplayer game after all and group play should have advantage/be default meta choice by definition. If somebody has problem with that there`s always ssf but don`t even think about playersx/offline mode. People seem to not understand this would mean GGG devaluating their life service model and definitely setting box price. |

Do you guys even understand how loot works?
Boss-exclusive loot table is not affected by rarity, nor party bonus. So Party play is better only for Raw Currency (rarity) or white bases (negative rarity) farming. Temple is perfect suit for that, and it is pretty much the only content that's "better" for a group. Temple can be utilized by a solo to farm Atziri too btw. So, as a solo, you farm Boss-exclusive items instead of farming raw currency/white bases. Groups inflating the Currency value are effectively increasing the value of items from Boss-exclusive loot tables, which is balancing the issue. People agreeing to be a Leech instead of playing another content or setting up their own Temple are creating the issue for themselves. Can you please acknowledge that, instead of bursting into tears after watching a youtube video with divines rain? Are streamers really put blindfolds on all of you and you can't figure out how to play on your own? The actual case in here is for GGG to balance the Temple mods stacking and/or party raw currency quantity bonus, so inflation is a bit less sudden, so players can join the league a bit longer without being gate-kept by economy they are joining to (1st good drop and they are in, but it may be inconvenient to get that when joining late). Though in 0.4 there were some Temple bugs which make the inflation spike, so that could no longer be an issue tbh. PS. I was playing mostly solo this league (usually im in a 3 man party of irl friends) and I was mad when i saw some streamers abusing the temple. Wouldn't mind the part loot bonus if the group play experience in this game wasn't so objectively awful. It's not fun or motivating to continue playing when those with a higher frustration tolerance for unneeded BS have a distinct advantage in a resource collecting and trading game.
1. You can't see anything with how bad the visual clutter is in groups, you can barely even see anything when soloing with most viable builds, and certainly with the most effective builds. Not fun. Games are supposed to be fun. 2. You don't need more than one person to kill group buffed content because the builds are so imbalanced, this incentives leeching and people not even actively playing the game, just grouping to watch someone else do it. Of course I don't have to participate in this part of the game, but failing to so puts me at a disadvantage in a resource collecting and trading game. 3. With shared loot you have to trust strangers. Would be nice if we could, but we all know there are bad apples out there, and I don't want to waste my game playing time hoping some rando wont be a jerk and steal the good stuff... and the game hasn't set any guardrails up to prevent it that I'm aware of. Sucks that this is the way it is, but this is the way it is. |
