Skip Acts function for the second and subsequent characters in the league
" The more you play the more you know and the faster you blast the campaign. It's a skill in itself. I've got four characters to maps this league, and rerunning the campaign with gear you got from previous ones is faster and faster. And it's fun to see you go from having a harder time in campaign to shredding everything with the funds you gained from previous characters. I'd have done more builds but the economy is just a bit borked for me to engage much more this league. Although all the crafting next league gets me excited to commit more to one build for longer and push it further. |

" Glad you are having fun. Nobody is asking for the campaign to be unavailable on alts. :D

so there is the recent news happened a day or two ago.
Campaign is going thru changes mostly Act 1 to 3. It is confirmed by GGG's level designes with nickname Suna. Full quote under the spoiler.
Spoiler
" I would say Act 4 is mostly fine. Abandoned Prison is kinda awful and Ngagaku zones are quite long. But anyway. Some parts of Act 2 and 3 does need to change significantly. Maybe they trying to address an excessevily long playtime in campaign? We'll see in the upcoming patch notes or maybe in dedicated video??? Anyway let's have a bit of refresh here. Why ppl have gripe with the campaign: It takes too long to complete the campaign. 9 to 15 hours depends on a build for non-speedrunners and even longer during the league start Forced campaign for consecutive characters bring no value and only brings anxiety. Most of the campaign is dead walking simulator checkpoint to checkpoint, gated by story and simply isn't fun. Especially Act 2 and 3 (also the constant feel of being too weak) Campaign maps are too large, yet empty. Too much walking. Dead ends. Backtracking. Campaign is a diffirent experience that most of Endgame enjoyers don't like (no sense of freedom, inability to play content they like, build enabling, tinks, etc.) Suggested solutions so far: 1.Completely skip the damn campaign and start as level 65 every time (no one agrees with that, that is too extreme. However let it be here) 2.Completely skip the damn campaign and start as level 1 in endgame maps. Leveling by jumping from map to map while the game is scales around your level. But before that you still need to clear the campaign once per league. 3.Create an alternative route Interlude style. More faster and streamlined leveling. No story gated. No forced checkpoints. No backtracking. But before that you still need to clear the campaign once per league. 4.Unlock the entire campaign map for consecutive character so you can level up your characters without interacting with story. Don't need to beat Act bosses. You can jump on any map as long as your level is allow you to. But before that you still need to clear the campaign once per league. Hard disagree on point #1, I absolutely do not relate to OP on this. I always hated people who rushed in Diablo 2, so many did that and then struggle when they reach the end game, not that I think this is what happens to OP but campaign skips are usually bad for players. If anything you should try to focus on speedrunning the campaign instead. Dev don't want their game to be a bland/generic spreadcheet character generator app and that's understandable.
I agree on point #2 tho, we need some sort of combat logs we can analyze. Tech guy

Campaign is basically a shortcut for no-scaling mobs for easy levelling
In Diablo 4 you get bored of fighting same mobs in same locations because you're stronger and they are too. |
|
" Which is bad design, since it forces you to always play a spell-caster or bow build, go through ALL the acts, farm stuff and then go through ALL the acts AGAIN with another character that you actually wanted to play. And this is tedious as hell. That's the reason why I usually skip 1-2 seasons before coming back to the game, because I don't have the time to do this over and over again. +1 to the suggestion. |

I see a lot of people arguing against this suggestion because it could affect league speedrunning, league economy, or early league competition.
Fair enough. Then don't enable it in leagues. Make it available in Standard instead. If the main concern is advantage in a fresh league, Standard is the obvious place to test it. No league race. No fresh economy panic. No day one abuse argument. Just players using their existing accounts and items to try new builds without running the same campaign again. It would also give GGG real data on whether people actually use it, whether it helps alt creation, and whether it creates any real problems outside of forum theorycrafting. PS: This is not a discussion about Standard being trash, dead, irrelevant, or whatever else. That is a different topic. Keep that part to yourself. |

" thanks sir, i didint quote 1 becouse yes, many people againts it inculding me, no fast leveling, no free items/levels. NO yes to 2, 3 or 4 we already made a million valid arguments about it, yet people who refuse to understand the problem still just go ‘no’ and make weird noises |
