Diablo 4 New DLC VS PoE 2 0.5

I played D4 since PoE1 league disappointed me and PoE2 right now it's uber trash level for me...

Expecting high things from 0.5 but not holding my breath. I was hyped about the druid release and got disappointed after 2 weeks.

Also since we have a 6 month's almost cycle now we probably should see big improvements, but under current management e.g Tencent ( which doesn't involve themselves, for whoever believes this) and those 2 persons which I always forget their names, I don't really have high hopes...I miss the bald guy, hence I am sitting on his streams while he plays d2 :)))

I haven't touched D4 since launch and agree with like 90% of the criticism...

But holy hell that cinematic probably just earned them my money.
Also the skill tree revamp looks good, map overlay finally added, two new classes, new story stuff.
Seems like a good time to give it a second chance.

If the POE2 patch wasn't so delayed I'd be too busy to even consider D4 but at the very least it'll keep me busy for a while.

ARPG enjoyers are eating good this spring.

The crafting bench will be active in Act 5! As the storyline...! Now there is a crafting bench but it's not active, you can only dismantle with it!

I agree. I was pretty disappointed with the first expansion and the entire direction of the game, but some of these changes and cinematics look pretty alright. I wouldn’t play it if 0.5 would release at the end of April, but since it’s so dry with ARPG content right now they might actually win my business as a result 🫠

Diablo 4 never got better than the beta for me.
It was legit fun and then it just went downhill fast.

D4 made a huge mistake. They split their players with Vessel of Hatred between players like me who would have tried it again at some point and fans who will pay for dirt apparently.

I can't actually play D4 if I wanted because they pay walled the classes and content.

We didn't pay for dirt...We paid for a marketed game, the problem is that Blizzard is top notch at marketing and movie making, creating hype over the product, while the development and general direction of the product is burning trash...

I mean does the game worth is money ? Definitely not.
Was the game marketed as the top peak of ARPG ? Yes.
Is the game any close to AAA ? Not even close, the only thing that get's an A is the graphics and the fact that in 2026 you put time and effort to develop customizable classes, so you don't need to gender lock classes cuz you do not have development time.

So yea, we didn't pay for dirt, we got an expansion, the problem is that it was burning trash, after 1 year of game life cycle, and it was marketed at AAA level pricing.

Eh, I'll play and enjoy both. The reveal being on the 7th means release will be a week later. That's plenty time to blast some D4, and if it's fun I'll just continue and delay PoE 2 for a bit. That's the beauty of not being susceptible to fomo.
