Games are not wives and we are not talking monogamy here. I will definitely play the Warlock in D4 because I always craved such a class since I put my hands on the aRPG genre. I hope to have a good experience. I also hope to have good experience in PoE1/2, especially if GGG pivots away from balancing the game around trade.
At present, I am enjoying Last Epoch, the most I have had in any season, outside the early access long ago. The aRPG scene is a competitive market and this is good for the gamers. |

With Diablo 4 you will at least get a new season every 3 months. LOL

Play whatever floats your boat... or both. Maybe neither. Various games coming into Early Access or Beta around the same time period. Maybe one of those will interest you more.
If I get into beta for the one game I'm really interested in I might skip 0.5 all together. I just don't see how I will have time for it. In other words.. you play what you feel interests you and you have time for. Asking others isn't really going to help with that. |

What's more - I think they will also make a new D2R league in May, they are waiting for the date from GGG and then they will announce it, and in a week there is a season in PD2, so it's getting busy

Nope. No surprises at all. D3.5 is fundamentally a shit game, no matter how many expansions.

They really attract different players. D4 is a lot of fun, relaxing ARPG time with easy to understand mechanics and progression is easy to find and feel. The endgame isn't even too bad now.
PoE2 is far more investment-based and punishing, grinding, job-like experience where you are punched in the nuts before you can enjoy anything. Some people love this, therefore they hate D4 for being too simple. Me, I play both. PoE is fun until it becomes a job, and they want to take xp for dying to a one-shot on a character, then play D4 to just relax and enjoy. I do find it funny the over-the-top angry PoE2 fans attacking D4 sounding like a jilted lover. haha. Console loot filter for POE2 Please!

" To each their own, I get that but I legitimately don’t understand what’s fun or enjoyable about D4. I sure understand the relaxing part because you’re turning your brain off... but that’s antithetical to the RPG design. At that point, you’d might as well be “playing” or experiencing anything relaxing, including listening to music, watching a movie, just chilling on your phone or whatever 🤷♂️ Arguably, much more worth of your time relaxing than “playing” D4, imo. I will play both, but I'm starting to seriously doubt GGG is going to hit even early may. They've been extremely quiet.
