Deadlock Detected

Hello,

I've had this happen once so far, when switching from town to the next area.

I'm not sure what could have caused it.

The area was loading for like 30s and suddenly the message popped up.

I clicked it and my game closed.

Normally my areas load in 3s, if that's of any importance.

same, if it takes too long to load, crash and "deadlock detected"

Got this problem today, too.

Works all fine yesterday, but start having POE eating tons of RAM(8~9GB+) a few hours ago, trying to fix it and suddenly got deadlock 30mins ago then never able to open the game anymore.

Already try to delete all cache, didn't work. Super frustrated.

Four days since the start of the league and there's still no news...
why is there no response from the company? i thought it was just me but clearly many people have the same issue. this makes the game unplayable unless u never minimize the window and dont load new areas often.
Played the last 4 months without ANY problem, got Deadlock Detected today.

Before that was a crash, game stopped loading. Cleared caches, checked installation files (no problem detected).

After that game started, but got the Deadlock message in 15 minutes, crashed again.

Are they gonna aknowledge this issue at all? Its clearly not just one person. I just lost a fortress at wave 24 cuz of this... its very demoralizing not knowing what map or instance I will just lose to this crash...
Like others, since the beginning of Keepers league i've had this crash/error. Last league no error, game would freeze, then i would be booted to main menu with glitched shaders(which would fix upon game-restart). Crash happened throughout the league and into this league, where now it shows error 'Deadlock detected'.

Crash/error seems to just happen randomly, have had it in Character select, afk in hideout, paused game(in map), in towns, etc. have ran 20 maps no issue, have logged in first map and insta-crash. Seems there's no log files to post or anything that can help the devs figure out the cause.

have swapped between vulkan/dx12, have tried deleting \my games\path of exile , have tried file verifying, have tried updating/reinstalling driver, increased shader cache size(nvidia settings) to 100gb, cleared shader caches(both in game-files and nvidia specific cache folders), have tried packcheck.exe, have uninstalled/reinstalled.

No other games i play have any issues running, this issue has only begun since last league. so i could only assume some change theyve implemented last league is the cause. if there's any other information a support member or w.e would like feel free to ask, would really just like to play the game with no issues. Outside of the freeze into error everything else runs normally.

edit* i will say the problem definitely occurs more often in vulkan, but it definitely has happened in dx12, just not as often. I prefer vulkan because my computer is lower-end and it just objectively performs better.

PoE2 had (still has?) the deadlock issue over a year ago, so it's not new.
For me, it was stable during early league when towns were less populated and I was using the starter skills. Now with lots of microtransactions in town and more on-screen effects (Volatile Dead), I started getting deadlocks or client crashes anywhere from immediately after login to 15 minutes of playing or so.

Turning off Dynamic Culling seems to help.
