Deadlock Detected

AMD CPU may have this more often.

Old (!) advices too "deadlock" at net says things like
- clear cashes
- update graphic drivers
- verify PoE files

and what allowed me to start PoE (in standard) at 5th? try:

Don't hit "ok" at tiny deadlock window, wait until PoE start window appears.
Next start of PoE should work.

That didn't worked for me, I still have deadlock popup.

But it worked:

Inoring that Popup (move it to sceen edge) and just play.
I did not play just made some stash (maps!) and inventory reorg in ho and towns.


And no answer to this from GGG!

and I have extreme HDD activity like never before in this game.
Very bad performance :( And I had never problems.


I found a solution for me to play without getting deadlock and kick:
I play on a very low resolution. My native res. is 1680x1050
now I play on 1024x700ish and it works lol

2026 and GGG devs still use ASSERT() functions for every error instead of handling the errors correctly

I set the item filters to "default" and it fix issue with the deadlock!
It helps start playing, but if I set again the NeverSink filter I got this error again.

I also encounter this. I'm returning to the game after many months. And it would be the first time running the game after the update.
Encountered deadlock detected error while the game is booting. Haven't even reached the main menu.
I tried to load the game again and it now opens immediately to the login screen.

I've had the same problem since the start of the league. I've already tried verifying the game files, updating my video card drivers, clearing the cache, and the problem persists.

I also tried disabling the Discord/Steam overlays and GPU.

setting the item filter to default didnt help me sadly..

I believe it has something to do with mtx.
In town without ppl that have mtx, game runs good and loads way better.

When I have to load into a town with ppl that have mtx (more=worse)
Its terrible. I have to wait very very long to load into that town
and I get the crash error.


And what in the world is going on with HDD usage ?
Something is terrible wrong. In town my HDD writes / reads like crazy.
That was never before. And when it does that, I now that the crash is near.
