temple lock nerf, good job losing player base
" I would, my temple dont drop 100 div an hour. I think i got 1 divine so far in all of my poorly designed temples and i couldnt care less of it since i play SSF and it's one of the most useless currencie there. I really like the temple mechanic, it's fun to build it. Every 3 maps i'm exited to run my temple and see what get collapsed after to rebuild it. It's hard when you get it big to clear it and that's very funny to me. I get nice items from it when the temple is high level enough, some i could even use on my character with very good rolls. It's less brain dead content than the other mechanics and it make a little break from mapping without the feeling to loose time doing so because you get good XP still and some nice drops. The fact that you wouldnt run it if it doesnt drop 100 div per hour isnt a universal rule for every single player in the game and only reflect what type of player you are. Some people are and think different than you. I'm really hoping the mechanic go core, not for the drop but for the mechanic itself. SSF player

" If temple goes core a lot of people will drop POE 2 forever myself included. It is the worst designed content out of all the leagues. All it does is promote RMT sells with the broken party system allowing groups to run the temple indefinitely with 0 downsides raking in 100s of divs an hour. No league mechanic should drop raw currency like the temple does. You can claim all you want that you dont have temple setup that way and you like seeing what destroys etc but this is a bold face lie sorry buddy. You are still attempting to setup the temple to rake in that sweet tinks that it abundantly gives. No thanks don't want my items every league costing 9000 div per item in end game because some broke trash temple. |

" I have different opinion so i'm lying? Ok... Seem like you have a lot to learn about human still. You're trying to convince yourself but reality is nobody will drop the game and will be back next season like always. No matter what people say on this forum. SSF player

" There is no argument there is only facts. Fact 1, the only reason people "think" temple is fun is due to the absurd amount of tinks that drop. Fact 2, 100s of people flew to forums to cry about lock nerf so GGG reverted it because nobody wants to play the temple how it is suppose to be played, you know go in set some rooms to unlock the boss and kill the boss. No instead they want to do circles (mind you never kill the boss) and get 100s of divs per run. Fact 3, the temple only promotes RMT and since the temple cheating (exploiting) the RMT sites have had more sells than any other league. Fact 4, over half of the player base quit the league when GGG refused to wipe the temples of those that cheated. Then the same cheaters got a buff to their already built temples for 40% more drops. GGG exaggerated the whole economy situation and collapse. Fact 5, if he got 100 div tinks in 1 map run he would be bored but the artificial run through 50 rooms and get 100 divs is ok. No its not its fake love for a mechanic that is broken. I could go on for days with you on the FACTS of it all but instead I will leave you with 5 above in hopes that you can clearly see anyone saying "they love the temple" is only saying it because they can build it to get absurd amounts of tinks per run with 0 effort & 0 challenge. Not because the temple mechanic is fun. The fix to the temple to make it "fun" would be to remove the ability to run it with 50+ rooms that are all max level. Just like in POE1 you should have x amount of temple rooms to unlock. Then once you have went through and unlocked the rooms/path you want in those 12 incursions you run the temple. https://ibb.co/rGJrhNBK Above is example of the temple then you run the temple do all your rooms you built in those 12 incursions and when you are done it resets and you go again. What we have in POE2 is not a true temple. This 50+ rooms that never get deleted always stay max level and the player profits 1000x more loot than if you did ANYTHING else in the game it trash design 100% facts. So please come to me with your facts of how its fun not your "opinion", or lies like his lies. |

the whole temple needs to be completely redesigned from the ground or removed altogether from the game.

The drop rate for the Lockpicking Room Key is insanely low. I seriously suspect they just slapped on a “diminishing returns” formula by dividing everything, and in a couple of days they’ll realize, “Oh, we messed up,” then quietly fix it

" Agreed. It's confusing, boring, time consuming, and it is what we got instead of a re-built endgame. Maybe druid fans had a reason to play this league past day 3, but it was quickly evident that temple was a dud as far as fun is concerned. |

" While I appreciate the temple from lore point of view, it fails badly even as "maps". Locking yourself in endless 2x2 meters rectangular arenas isn't fun at all. Perhaps it is good only for slot-machine lovers with braindead builds that clear everything in each room with 1 hit. Last edited by Azimuthus#1135 on Jan 18, 2026, 5:45:01 PM
