temple lock nerf, good job losing player base

"

i understand that people are complaining about temple inflation but one of the main reasons why some are still playing is because its quite fun to build the temple to its max potential and see nice drop from all that hardwork and planning.

You are crying because you arnt getting 100div per temple run which is sad. The entire season was ruined by cheaters like yourself that think its the "norm" for you to get 100's of div's with 0 effort put in. There is literally a new "holten" area that you could abuse like everyone else and have 0 issues but instead you are on here crying about the locks.

I cant wait for the next season to remove this toxic temple from the game. It is not fun building it and it is artificially creating that dopamine you so want of the 100s of tink drops from your 1 run and frankly that's trash design to have so much currency from 1 place drop. GGG knows it and it will be fixed next season dont worry.
Holy f, i thought i was the only one who aren't dropping locks XD. After seeing the Treasure Vault medallion dropped more than the lock medallion I realized this ain't it anymore. The fact that they shadow-nerfed it though, i have no words.

I have some words, AWESOME.
like come on people, you're addicted to to Templotics

Also nice try OP, 40k players moved over to private league, so THAT is why they lost players.. niothing to do with temple locks/nerf

for ur reference, i didnt use holten bug and i tried to built my temple legitly and bricked once at 40 rooms, im now at 50 rooms and only dropping like 10divines each run. and i didnt build that russian tech thing that everyone is doing, just figure it out on my own.

im sure theres a lot of casual players like myself who just wanna build this temple and try different layouts, all i am saying its getting a bit hard to finish
How about we do a full on temple RESET instead?

I like this idea!

I can just agree to TO. The nerf to locks is obvious. And to shadow nerf drop rate of a part of the game mechanic is killing the fun. To nerf droprates of currency would be ok for me, but it seems GGG is afraid of the feedback for that. So thy secretly nerfed the medailions? Not funny at all.

To clarify on the fun part: I did a lot of other stuff on the atlas and ignored the temple for the most time. A week before the last patch I started to build the temple cuz it looks like fun. And it was even without lots of divines at 50 Rooms. But when I hit 60 Rooms and the patch droped there was a shift. I lost now all my rooms down to 40 and I dont see where this could stop. So why bother playing anymore? Fun is gone ....

haha well at least u made it to 60 rooms!!! quite an accomplishment, im still struggling to get past 50 fml

i think most ppl complain about temple inflation dont understand how much work u gotta put into building the thing and let alone the difficulty of running one at crazy monster effectivness.

yah lowering the D drop rate and/or increasing the diffculty of the temple could solve the problem in my opinion.

thats because most people didnt have to put that much work into it, before the exploit was patched multiple times, people were building temples in a fraction of the time it takes now.

anyone that put a lot of work into their temple without the abuse of exploits, does not deserve this to happen ot them..

so most didnt build them legitimately over many weeks, most abused the exploited and completed it in hours.
but it is the way she goes..

I think that's where u're wrong. We both have no data to suggest "most" for any of the opinions, but the biggest outcry I've every seen in PoE2 was when they changed how locks work.
That was way after the Holten fix and almost all of the people complaining were still in the process of actively building their temple.

So it's easy to assume that "most" players are building their temples legit and don't have a finished temple since weeks ago. It's only a minority that had enough time and did bother to nolife when Holten went public. (it was during christmas aswell, so alot of people didn't play during that time)

I know u don't like the temple and u're expressing ur anger in alot of threads, but condemning every player that likes to build temples because u think everyone exploited is not ok.

@OP: I don't know if GGG adjusted the drop rate of lock medallions. I got two temples with around 50 rooms right now and I get between 1 and 3 locks per run. Mostly it's just one, sometimes none and sometimes even up to 5. Imo it's just rng, but there could aswell been an adjustment. I have no recollection to weeks ago anymore, so it would be just guessing to say that I got way more medallions back then.

Lets be honest would you be building the temple or doing maps and the other content like abyss, breach, etc if the temple didnt drop you 100 div an hour? No you wouldn't, its not fun its boring to build its to reliant on luck to get the rooms you need and the rooms are more rewarding than the boss itself.

The entire design of the temple was trash from the start. GGG should have made the temple like POE1 temple and been done with it but instead they decided to reinvent the wheel yet again and it backfired in their face.

If majority of the players that are not casuals quit the season due to the temple exploiting fiasco then why you think as a casual you know better? You are addicted to tinks that the temple is artificially giving you. Next season you will play till you hit maps then cry on forums you arnt getting 100s of divs an hour. This is not normal for POE1 or POE2 to have this much RAW currency drop ANYWHERE in the game.

At this point GGG might as well sell divs, chaos orbs, and all other crafting maps in the shop since no normal casual player will ever get the 100s of 1000s of divs needed in this season to get end game gear.
