temple lock nerf, good job losing player base

so after quiet a few runs after recent patch, i noticed significantly lower lock drop rate to the point im praying for one to drop and my temple has lost 1/4 of its rooms and im afraid to keep building.

so i decided to look at the forums and seems like im not the only one.

i understand that people are complaining about temple inflation but one of the main reasons why some are still playing is because its quite fun to build the temple to its max potential and see nice drop from all that hardwork and planning.

so thanks ggg for this nerf without telling us. at least tell ppl its nerfed and not hide it.

add an important note i hope GGG will read:

temple inflation makes other farming methods far more profitable: prices of all splinters, omens, fracturing orbs etc have all gone up. i have farmed way more currency doing maps and then running the temple itself.

the temple is a very fun mechanic, espeicaly with friends, to try different building methods and reaping the rewards. but its not very fun if locks are not dropping......

last few days my temple has gone down from 60 rooms to about 40... how fun is that ggg.

This temple thing has sparked outrage from our all POE2 communities across the world, you are the only one i have seen so far talking about how fun it is , are you one of those chinese players who exploits the temple mechanics for RMT?

temple is quite fun to figure out the optimal placement, how to get more locks, more rarity, monster effectivness without bricking yourself. and then running them to get good drops. the ripper doc is quite funny too, if thats not fun i dunno what else is.

U must have not read alot of posts then. There's quite a number of people, like myself, who enjoy the temple building process and said so in multiple threads. It has nothing to do with being from a certain country or selling currency for real money.

100% agree. I also noticed a significant drop in lock medallions from my spymasters. I spent 3 days prior to patch 0.4.0d building my temple just for it to no longer drop locks. I've gotten only 1 lock in the past 4 temple runs when I have 8 level 3 spymasters. Before the patch, I was consistently dropping 1-2 lock medallions with LESS spymasters.

They are dropping medallions from other room medallion pools far more often than before.



I got 1 lock from a spymaster in 5 runs, 10 level 3 rooms.



That can't just be rng, 1/50 is not a high chance...

Nah GGG would never communicate clearly what they want players to experience in the temple. If from the start they wanted people not to build a full temple rooms then they could add a timer saying that the timeline is unstable after X time of runs and the whole thing just collapse. They adjust the temple according to the vibe of the most vocal people which is stupid, only showing that they don’t have any clear direction for this game.
