Is this some form of like a gotchya or something?

A lot of early access games you have to pay for.

Having to sponsor a private league for player retention says it all.

I actually think GGG should consider doing that in every league, even if the playerbase is happy. An optional economic reset halfway through might interest a lot of players.

I would say no. The crashing issues were a big sore spot for me. Than the economy. The main portion of the season caused more harm than good. The gems have such a low drop rate and cost for those who did not exploit a system. It was not just the casuals who were affected, it was also new players.

This has to be the absolute worst economy I have ever experienced for any game I have played. My buddy and I were able to get by since we started on day one. Giving us some ability to negotiate our way into some options.

Those who did not start early or took advantage of the systems. Bless their hearts if they soldier through. Those who defend and keep stating it is EA that is fine but the currency should have been wiped. It would have saved the season and this Second Wind shenanigans would not of happen so early.
Annual income

Is not an early acces, the game is released in platforms, the game is online, the servers are live and you can buy everything in the shop.

You can call it early acces if you like it but it wont matter.

The game is already released.

47k on steam after 1month, I think that's a record low for retention for any poe league. Let's be honest it peaked low, retained low, I dint see this as a 4 month possible league, I think time just told.

Those 47k include bots?

hate to break it to you but

"early access survival game" was a meme for a reason.

As there were countless of them and they all released across platforms and required you to pay

Valheim
Ark
Rust
DayZ

Etc.

This isnt new to Early Access im afraid.
Mash the clean
Games are just following the Star Citizen model.

73k minimum so far. Actually it does better than 0.3.0 as that one started with higher number but had number after a month + couple of days.

Nope, don't know where you guys get your information but the league never reached above 100k average players. Not peak, average. Meanwhile, 0.3 did reach above 120k in the summer. So, no, there is no way this disaster is better. In fact, recent Stream reviews dropped so hard - from around 90% to around 60%, it seems the only reason there are even above 50k people playing is the private league.

Why? I don't remember PoE 1 ever doing it and we've had some pretty crazy currency explosions. Is PoE 2 truly so bad only hard reset can save it?
